Share It, Hold It, or Keep Working | AI Music for Teens Lesson 12

Level 3 · Finish the Work · Lesson 12 · Decide + Reflect · Free

Share It, Hold It, or Keep Working

Creative completion and permission to publish are two different decisions. You can be proud of a finished project and still decide to keep it private, hold it for review or revise it before sharing.

Prerequisite

Bring your QC decision from Lesson 10 and your Project Credit Record from Lesson 11.

Four responsible next decisions

Keep private

The project is complete enough for you, but you do not want or need to publish it. Private creative work still counts as completed learning.

Share with permission

You are comfortable with the quality and the people, voices, sources and account rules involved are appropriately approved.

Hold for review

The music may be creatively finished, but a permission, safety, platform, collaborator or source question still needs an adult, educator or other appropriate review.

Keep working

A clear creative or technical blocker remains. Return to the lesson that owns it instead of starting over without a reason.

Before anything goes public

  • Do not post private information about yourself or someone else.
  • Do not use another person's voice or likeness publicly without appropriate permission.
  • Make sure collaborators know how their work will be used.
  • If you uploaded or used source material, do not assume access means permission to publish it.
  • Check the age and account rules of the platform you plan to use.
  • If you are unsure, ask a parent, guardian, educator or another responsible adult before publishing.

“The AI let me make it” does not mean “I am allowed to publish it.”

Tools can generate or transform material without resolving every question about privacy, permission, ownership or platform rules.

Make the final project decision

MY PROJECT IS: creatively finished / still needs one clear fix

MY QC RESULT: pass / fix one thing / hold

PEOPLE OR SOURCES THAT NEED CREDIT: __________

ANY PERMISSION OR SAFETY QUESTION STILL OPEN? __________

MY DECISION: KEEP PRIVATE / SHARE WITH PERMISSION / HOLD FOR REVIEW / KEEP WORKING

WHY THIS IS THE RIGHT DECISION: __________

WHO I WILL ASK IF I NEED HELP: __________

Level 3 success criteria

  • You diagnosed and repaired—or deliberately held—the right problem.
  • You completed a whole-track quality check.
  • You documented your contribution, tools, collaborators and important sources.
  • You separated creative completion from public-release permission.
  • You made an intentional next-use decision instead of treating posting as the automatic finish line.

Your project can be complete without becoming content.

The goal of this path is to build creative judgment. Sharing publicly is optional.

The Finish & Share Record is not extra homework. Carry forward your Lesson 9–12 answers instead of rewriting them from scratch.
