Generate a full song or instrumental
Direction, genre, structure, lyrics, variation and candidate selection matter before polishing.
Visual AI Music Generation Roadmap | Choose the Right Generation Workflow
AI Music Generation Specialist Roadmap · Tool-Agnostic
Choose the generation job first. Choose the tool second.
This roadmap is about AI music generation as a creative process—not one platform. Suno, Musicfy, ElevenLabs, Melody Genie and future tools are different stations. BandLab and Audacity become important when generated material needs production, repair or finishing.
Start with the job
What do you actually need AI to do?
Generate or transform voice
Separate creative vocal goals from consent, likeness and commercial-use questions.
Create melody or musical ideas
Use AI to generate material you can compare, adapt and develop—not as a substitute for direction.
Transform existing audio
Uploads, covers, stems and style changes introduce source-rights and provenance questions.
Generate components
Vocals, instrumentals, effects, stems and alternate sections can enter a larger human-directed production.
Repair or extend a generated piece
Sometimes the right next step is editing or production—not more generation.
Generation workflow
Intent → references → tool choice → candidates → compare → transform → export → finish
1. IntentName the job and desired result.2. ReferencesDefine genre, energy, form and constraints.3. Tool ChoicePick the tool that fits the job.4. CandidatesGenerate enough to compare real options.5. SelectKeep, reject and identify the actual blocker.6. TransformExtend, revise, replace, stem or regenerate deliberately.7. ExportKeep useful files outside the platform.8. FinishEdit, mix, master, document and prepare release.
Suno
Full-song generation, prompting, structure and iterative song building.
Suno Hub →Musicfy
Voice, stems, transformation and creator workflows.
Musicfy Hub →ElevenLabs
Voice, narration, sound effects and music capabilities where they fit the project.
ElevenLabs Hub →Melody Genie
Melodic idea generation and focused musical exploration.
Melody Genie →BandLab
Record, edit, separate, mix, master and finish generated material.
BandLab Hub →Audacity
Editing, repair, restoration, cleanup and production work outside the generator.
Audacity Hub →The tool is not the road
When the tool changes, your creative decisions should survive.
Keep references, prompts, source files, exports, stems and contribution records where possible. Portability protects the project from becoming trapped inside one platform.
