Project 2025 and allied Christian nationalist movements don’t just spin false morality or history—they are criminalizing truth-telling itself:

• Teaching Black history is framed as “CRT indoctrination.”
• Feeding migrants becomes “enabling invasion.”
• Preaching justice is recast as “rebellion.”
• Questioning authority is labeled “domestic extremism.”

Emphasis: They don’t simply silence dissent—they outlaw it.

When the Bible Becomes a Badge

Scripture is no longer a lens—it’s the shield. The Word is weaponized:

• Edited during slavery to remove liberatory passages
• Used during Jim Crow to sanctify segregation
• Deployed during the Red Scare to smear justice preachers
• Reused again today to defend state violence and suppress the prophetic

What Happens When the Lie Becomes Law?

If Project 2025 is fully implemented:

• Religious freedom is redefined to privilege conservative Christianity alone
• The state gains power to punish dissent and marginal identities under “order”
• Theocratic law is normalized—radical obedience elevated over justice
• Pastors who preach loyalty over liberation are favored
• Truth becomes the crime; obedience the virtue

• Rescissions Act: Slashed billions from foreign aid and public broadcasting
• One Big Beautiful Bill Act (signed July 4): Cut SNAP, added harsh work requirements
• Administrative moves: NIH grants frozen, FEMA relief restricted, foreign aid scaled back
• Congressional Recess: Early recess dodged votes on Epstein transparency; no corrections likely before fall
• Senate Fast-Tracking: Trump nominees rushed through to cement executive power

Truth Is Not a Weapon—It’s a Witness

Truth still emerges through:

• Teachers who refuse to whitewash history
• Pastors who refuse to sanction power over justice
• Artists and neighbors who name empire in word and deed
• Communities who share mutual aid beyond charity scripts

You don’t need a sword to resist. You need to carry the truth long enough for it to outlast the lie.

A Return to the Radical Christ

The true Jesus:

• Defied empire
• Fed the hungry in violation of the law
• Sat with outcasts, condemned hypocrisy, overturned tables
• Was executed not for niceness, but for treason to injustice

In a moment where Christian nationalism crowns pastors as kings, following Jesus means risking rejection by the powerful.
