Editing song details changes how a Suno track is named, displayed, shared and opened to community activity. It does not automatically rewrite the audio. Audio repairs require workflows such as Reuse Prompt, Extend, Crop, Replace Section or Suno Studio.

Separate presentation changes from audio changes

A corrected displayed lyric can improve the song page without changing what the singer performs. A cleaner title can organize the library without creating a new master. Know which layer you are editing before you publish or export.

A good Suno title identifies the song and the reason the version exists. Avoid naming every candidate “final.”

Displayed lyrics are not performed lyrics

Suno’s current editing tools can allow changes to displayed lyrics in certain workflows. Correcting that text improves readability, but it does not alter the audio already generated. To change what is sung, use Reuse Prompt for a new version, Replace Section for a selected region, Extend for a new ending or Studio for deeper work.

Before publishing: compare the displayed lyrics against the recording. Do not present a corrected transcript that materially contradicts what listeners hear.

Link-only versus public

Suno says newly created songs are link-only by default. They remain available in your Library and Workspace and can be shared by direct link, but they do not appear publicly on your profile until published.

Publishing is a visibility decision, not a distribution release. A public Suno page is not the same as delivering a master through a distributor.

Comments and Remix permissions

Allow Comments

Comments are enabled by default according to Suno’s current help guidance and can be turned off under Visibility & Permissions.

  • Keep them on for public feedback and community interaction.
  • Turn them off for controlled presentations, sensitive projects or low-moderation capacity.

Allow Remixes

New songs can have Remix enabled while remaining link-only. The setting controls access to workflows such as Cover, Extend, Reuse Prompt and Adjust Speed.

  • Allow when attribution and community transformation support the project.
  • Disable for client work, private drafts or tightly controlled release candidates.
Permission is not ownership: allowing a Remix does not give another creator the right to monetize your song or lyrics.

A publish-ready details workflow

  1. Choose the correct audio version. Do not package a candidate before selecting it against the project goal.
  2. Rename it clearly. Separate source versions, experiments and release candidates.
  3. Review displayed lyrics. Correct obvious transcription issues without pretending the audio changed.
  4. Check the visual presentation. Confirm the artwork is readable and appropriate for the project.
  5. Choose visibility. Keep it link-only or publish it intentionally.
  6. Choose community permissions. Decide whether comments and Remix workflows serve the goal.
  7. Copy the link and log the settings. Record which version was shared and why.
  8. Download the controlled master. Use the correct file and preserve a local archive.
