Understand Suno Before You Generate
Suno can turn musical direction, lyrics and structural instructions into generated song candidates. Your job is to decide what the work is trying to become, then judge whether the output moves toward that decision. This page supports Module 1 of Free Creator Labs; it is not a separate Suno stage or curriculum.
What Suno provides—and what it does not decide for you

Beginner rule: generating more versions is not the same as improving direction. A useful first prompt should express a decision you can evaluate.

Write a Suno Project Start Statement
Before generating a serious project, write these four sentences. Keep them short enough to use while comparing results.
1 · I want to create…
Name the specific song, cue, experiment or musical outcome.
2 · It is for…
Name the intended use and the person or listener situation that matters.
3 · Suno should attempt…
Describe the musical execution you want the platform to produce: lane, movement, vocal role, instrumentation or structure.
4 · I will evaluate…
Name the creative qualities that determine whether a candidate deserves another step.
Know which problem belongs where
Direction unclear?
Stay in Module 1. Define purpose, listener, emotional target, lane, movement and boundaries.
