Export the version you can actually defend.
Downloading a file is not the same as finishing a release. First identify the correct master, preserve the source history, choose the best available file format for the job, and confirm that the material is commercially usable before it enters distribution.

Quick listening or reference copy
An MP3 can be appropriate for review, sharing or a lightweight reference copy. Do not confuse convenience with the best archival master for later production work.
Studio project work
Suno Studio currently supports exports such as the full song, a selected time range and multitrack output, with high-quality WAV workflows. Studio availability is plan-dependent, so verify your current account before building a fixed production process around it.
Several candidate songs
Suno supports multi-song download workflows. Use that for organization, not as permission to skip version control—label the intended master clearly after downloading.
The pre-export checklist
- Confirm the winner. Use the exact version you selected after editing, not the most recent generation by accident.
- Clean song details. Finish title, lyrics display, visibility and version notes in the Song Details guide.
- Save provenance. Record uploads, Covers, Extends, Remixes, collaborators and any external source material that contributed to the final track.
- Choose the file for the next job. Archive, mastering, editing, distribution and casual sharing do not always need the same format.
- Preserve the untouched export. Keep one original download before making downstream edits.
- Check rights before distribution. Paid-plan commercial-use rights, platform permissions and copyright protection are not the same question.
Release readiness belongs to Module 4. If the track still needs structural repair, go back to Suno Editing. If the file is ready but rights are unclear, stop before distribution and use the rights guide.
Before you send the file to a distributor
- Confirm that you control the lyrics, uploads, recordings, samples and collaborator permissions relevant to the release.
- Confirm the commercial-use status of the Suno generation itself.
- Retain receipts, subscription history or project records when those details matter to commercial-use questions.
- Do not treat commercial-use permission from a platform as a guarantee of copyright registration or protection.
- Keep the final export, artwork, metadata and release notes together in one release folder.
Continue only when the asset is ready.
