Finish the record around the song, not just the audio.

Once the musical version is stable, clean the information attached to it before you export. The goal is simple: know which version is the winner, make its displayed information intentional, and make its visibility match what you actually want other people to see.

The four details to check

Title

Use a working title while experimenting, then give the selected version a clear final title. Avoid leaving several near-identical winners that cannot be distinguished later.

Displayed lyrics

Review what the song page shows against what is actually sung. Correct obvious transcription or formatting problems where the current Suno interface allows it, and retain your own authoritative lyric document separately.

Visibility

Suno currently creates new songs as Link-Only by default. Public visibility makes a song eligible to appear on your profile and in broader discovery, so make that choice deliberately rather than assuming every finished song should be public.

Permissions and discussion

Review the song’s current visibility and permission controls before sharing. If you do not want comments or remix activity where controls are available, set those choices before promoting the link.

Create a version record before export

  1. Name the winner. Record the exact Suno version or link you consider final.
  2. Save the authoritative lyrics. Keep a copy outside the platform if lyrics matter to the release.
  3. Record provenance. Note whether the song began from your own upload, a Suno generation, a Cover, Extend, Remix or other transformation.
  4. Record plan/origin where rights depend on it. Do not rely on memory later when commercial-use questions arise.
  5. Choose visibility intentionally. Private development, link sharing and public discovery are different decisions.

Do not confuse page cleanup with rights clearance. A polished title and public song page do not prove that the work is commercially releasable. Rights and source material still need a separate check.
