The Four Core Pages: How the Original Framework Became Core Squared
Trace the early four-page funnel example that helped develop Core Squared, then see how the framework grew into a broader creator-development method.
A useful model must expose its assumptions to testing and correction.
The current method grew from a practical four-page example, but is no longer limited to funnels or webpages.
Why this article needed an update
The phrase Four Core Pages came from an earlier stage of the concept, when the framework was explored through a specific creator funnel: a lead magnet, a download page, post-content delivery and segmentation.
Those pages remain useful examples, but they are not the definition of Core Squared. The current framework is broader: Flame, Rock, Cycle and House are development functions, while Operator is the responsible human at the centre.
Learning objectives
Understand the origin
See how a practical page sequence helped expose the four functions.
Separate example from method
Recognize that one funnel is an application, not the full framework.
Follow the evolution
Map the early pages to the present five-part system.
Use the current model
Apply Core Squared beyond websites and campaigns.
The original four-page example
| Early page | Development function it revealed |
|---|---|
| Lead magnet or entry page | Flame: name the promise, intended person and reason to care. |
| Download or access page | Rock: ensure the asset, claim, rights and delivery are real. |
| Post-delivery guidance | Cycle: help the person use the asset and create evidence. |
| Segmentation or next-route page | House: place the person and result into an appropriate next system. |
The example showed that a creator needed more than content. Direction, foundation, use and placement had to work together.
What changed as the framework matured
Pages became functions
Flame, Rock, Cycle and House can now guide songs, books, podcasts, products, websites, newsletters and campaigns.
Operator became explicit
Human judgment is no longer an implied background role. It is a dedicated lesson and capstone responsibility.
One funnel became an ecosystem
The method now supports Core Paths, focused learning hubs and Milestone Academies.
Completion became evidence-based
Reading or publishing is not enough; the creator produces records and decisions.
Use the old example correctly
The four-page sequence remains valuable when building a simple resource pathway. Ask:
- Does the entry page make one clear promise?
- Does the delivery page provide exactly what was promised?
- Does the follow-up help the person use it?
- Does the next route fit the evidence and need?
- Who approves the claims, placement and continuation?
Framework development reflection
Choose one current project and identify whether the original page example helps explain it—or whether the broader functional model is required. Write: “The early example helps me see ________, but the current framework adds ________.”
Operator boundary
Do not force every project into a four-page funnel. The Operator chooses the structure that serves the project. A teaching origin can clarify a framework without becoming a rigid template.
Completion standard
You are complete when you can explain the original four-page example, map it to Flame, Rock, Cycle and House, and state why Operator and the broader creator ecosystem required the framework to mature.
Return to the current method
Use the Core Squared Method Hub for the current framework and the Operator lesson for human responsibility.
Continue the argument
Next: set the boundaries before interpreting the pattern
Now that the framework’s development is clear, the next article separates legitimate uses of pattern from truth claims, causation and borrowed authority. This boundary must come before the religious comparisons.
