Program need and implementation readiness are not the same thing.

Questions schools should ask before starting

What if we do not have an AI policy yet?

You can still begin with an Explore or readiness conversation, but JR does not replace your institution’s responsibility for policy, privacy, safeguarding, consent or approved-tool decisions. A pilot should not outrun those decisions.

What if we already have AI policy or approved tools?

Then the likely need is Build or Strengthen: educator consistency, applied creator projects, clearer assignment expectations, student authorship practices or evidence-of-process assessment.

Is this an AI music program?

No. Music and sound are one creator option and a major area of JR experience. The institutional framework is broader and can support story, visual, voice/audio, video/content and mixed-media work depending on the engagement.

Do students have to use a particular AI platform?

No. The learning framework is designed to be tool- and provider-neutral. Your institution decides which tools and accounts are permitted.

Can this fit existing subjects instead of becoming a new course?

Potentially, yes. A project can be adapted to an existing course, enrichment block, innovation program, arts/media program or dedicated creator lab when the objectives and constraints make sense.

Who teaches the students?

The preferred model is Train-the-Trainer. Your educators or facilitators lead the student experience. JR provides the agreed program structure, content, preparation, adaptation and implementation support.

How do you measure learning when AI creates part of the output?

The final artifact is only one piece of evidence. Students can also document intent, prompts or directions where appropriate, comparisons, rejected options, revisions, verification, reflection and the decisions that shaped the work.

Is the learner pathway free?

The public learner pathway can be reviewed freely. Institutional services are paid when a school wants implementation, adaptation, educator preparation, custom development or ongoing support.
