Choose Tools by the Job They Need to Do
Creator Labs is tool-neutral. A platform can make a task easier, faster or more practical, but no software subscription is a curriculum stage and no creator needs every tool listed here.

Stage 1 · MAKE IT — creation and finishing
Suno
Jack Righteous uses Suno as the deepest music-generation implementation for Stage 1. Use it for creation and iteration where it fits, while keeping the Creator Labs decisions—direction, comparison, building and finishing—separate from any single platform.
BandLab or another editor
An editing or production environment can help organize recordings, edits, stems, arrangement and finishing. Choose the environment that solves the actual production job rather than treating one editor as mandatory.
Musicfy
Musicfy can be relevant when the project specifically needs singing-voice transformation or related voice implementation. In Creator Labs, that work belongs beneath Module 3 Build the Work rather than becoming a separate path.
Project files and backups
Your source files, approved versions, references, exports and decision notes are often more important than adding another generator. Keep enough evidence to understand what you made and how you got there.
Stage 2 · MEAN IT — writing, voice and story
ChatGPT or another writing assistant
Use an AI assistant for structured drafting, comparison, revision, research support and project thinking when it helps. Keep source material, factual checks and your own decisions visible rather than treating generated text as automatically correct.
ElevenLabs
Spoken voice and narration tools can support Stage 2 when a project needs narration, character voice, spoken presentation or audio publishing. Check consent, rights and current platform terms for the use case.
Your source archive
Keep approved facts, drafts, transcripts, links, decisions, permissions and examples of the voice you are building. Reliable source material makes assisted writing more useful and easier to review.
Stage 3 · OWN IT — home, discovery and conversion
Shopify
Shopify is one optional implementation when you need an owned site, storefront, pages, customer accounts, email capture or commerce. You do not need Shopify to complete Free Creator Labs, and not every creator needs a store.
Visual tools
Use Canva, image generation or another visual editor when the project needs covers, social assets, presentations or repeatable brand layouts. Start with the message, format and asset purpose before generating more images.
Owned destination — only when useful
A website, landing page, profile hub or storefront becomes useful when you need a stable place for people to understand the work, take a next action or return later. Stage 3 teaches the decision; it does not require the same destination for every creator.
Stage 4 · BUILD WITH IT — release, operation and evidence
Distribution tools
A distributor can deliver finished music to services when distribution is part of the release plan. Use it after checking readiness, metadata, rights and contributor information. Distribution itself is not proof that a release is strategically or legally ready.
Campaign and scheduling tools
Use scheduling, content or campaign software only when it reduces real operating friction. The important Creator Labs work is still the campaign purpose, actions, evidence and next decision.
Analytics and records
Keep enough evidence to compare actions with outcomes. A simple operating record can be more useful than a complex dashboard when it helps you make the next decision clearly.
A practical minimum is smaller than a “creator tech stack”
You do not need an owned store, mailing list, distributor, paid AI plan and analytics suite just to begin. For a serious project, the minimum useful setup is usually:
- A way to make or edit the work.
- A place to keep source files, exports and backups.
- A record of important creative, contributor, rights and release decisions when they matter.
- Only the publishing, audience or commerce tools required by the next real project step.
