Uber Eats Thanksgiving: Best Times to Deliver Without Guessing
The right Thanksgiving shift is the one your local app and merchants support—not a fixed hour copied from somebody else's city.
Start with the app, not a clock
Uber says current demand, likely follow-on requests, traffic and historic demand patterns can help drivers make decisions. For delivery, upfront information includes expected minimum earnings, pickup/drop-off locations, estimated time and distance.

Windows worth testing
- Friday dinner: use it as a normal-weekend baseline.
- Saturday afternoon/evening: compare restaurant and shopping requests.
- Sunday: watch neighbourhood-specific patterns as gatherings begin.
- Monday: check holiday merchant hours before heading out.
Do not chase demand too far
A hotter zone is not automatically better if you drive unpaid kilometres to reach it. Compare likely demand with the distance, parking and travel time required to get there.
What I would actually do
I would check the Driver app before leaving home, verify open merchants, choose one compact zone, run a defined test window, then record the result. If the zone is weak, change the experiment—not the story you tell yourself about the holiday.
