Written by Chuck Ice · Righteous Remix by Jack Righteous

This is the Suno platform release of my Righteous Remix treatment of Chuck Ice’s song. The point is not to replace Chuck’s writing—it is to take the song into a different production and performance frame while keeping the writer clearly credited at the centre.

Why I wanted to remix this song

Chuck Ice does not need me to explain who he is. He has already lived through multiple eras of Montreal hip-hop as an artist, songwriter, executive, mentor and industry builder.

What interested me here was the song itself. Never Made It carries the kind of idea that can support more than one musical treatment. My role was to listen for where I could bring the Jack Righteous sound into it without making the remix about me.

The Righteous Remix is therefore an interpretation: a different frame around Chuck’s writing, with my production instincts, arrangement choices and artist identity shaping the presentation.

What stays Chuck Ice

The song’s writing, central idea and songwriter credit remain attached to Chuck Ice. That authorship is not something the remix should blur.

What becomes Righteous

The remix treatment is where I bring in the Jack Righteous side: heavier presentation, stronger visual identity and a different production lens around the same song.

This is a Suno platform release

This article documents the Publish stage on Suno. It gives the remix a permanent home on JackRighteous.com with the artwork, player, credits and context instead of relying on the Suno song page alone.

That is different from saying the remix has already been sent to major streaming platforms. Any wider distribution decision comes later, with the appropriate release, rights and approval questions handled for that stage.

For creators: this is also a practical example of how I think a collaboration/remix release should be announced. Make the writer visible. Explain what the remix contributes. Embed the actual release. Keep the platform stage clear. Then decide what deserves to move further.

Now I’m testing the Hook video

I’m also using this release to test Suno’s short video workflow: selecting specific audio ranges, generating five-second visual clips, testing an unprompted Advanced generation and assembling the sequence in Canva.
