Righteous Love Reimagined – Part 1: The Remastering Case Study
By Jack Righteous
April 2025
Why This Series Matters
If you’ve ever made a song in Suno before V4 and loved the idea—but something felt just slightly off—this series is for you.
This is the real-world journey of revisiting and rebuilding one of my most meaningful songs, Righteous Love: Songs from Eden, using what I now call Suno Prompt Sound Engineering.
Whether you’re looking to remaster, reinterpret, or refine, this 3-part series will show you how I took one track through:
- Remastering (Part 1)
- Cover Reimagining (Part 2)
- Lyrical Adaptation (Part 3)
Remembering Why I Made This Song
Back in April 2024, I was deep in experimentation mode with Suno V3. I was working on the character Jack Righteous, placing him in a biblical origin story within the Garden of Eden.
I imagined a celebration—a real song from Eden—something passed down through oral tradition. A spiritual anthem that merged Afrobeat grooves with EDM house energy, joyful violins, and reflective lyrics like "I am who I am."
The process? Slow and intentional. I built the song in 15–30 second increments, using thousands of credits until I reached a version that captured the heart of it.
From V1 to V3: A Natural Progression
Each version—V1, V2, and V3—got stronger in subtle ways. By the time I landed on V3, I wasn’t just satisfied—I was emotionally connected to it.

Playlist Spark: The Nudge to Revisit
Nearly a year after the original release, Righteous Love appeared on a Spotify Praise & Worship playlist:

That unexpected feature made me stop and listen again. After months of growth as an artist, hearing it with fresh ears reminded me what made it special in the first place.
Suno V4 Remastering: A Creative Test
With Suno V4 now available, I wanted to see if the upgraded model could bring more clarity, better layering, or unexpected improvements to a track I already loved.
Here’s what I tested:
-
V4 Official Remaster – 1x
Listen
Strong structure and clarity. Some improvements in mix quality and instrument separation. -
Remaster 2x
Listen
Pushed energy further, introduced some new movement and feel. -
Remaster 3x
Listen
Offered interesting textural changes, though slightly less focused. -
Early V4 Attempt
Listen
First test with V4—useful for comparison, but not a final pick.
Why I Stuck with V3 (And How I Finalized It)
While each V4 attempt had strengths, none fully captured what I had already found in V3. The emotion, pacing, and intent were strongest in that version. Rather than over-engineer it, I focused on external refinements:
- Added a fade-out to improve the ending
- Ran the audio through BandLab for mastering polish
- Listen to the Final Version on BandLab
Cover art was generated in Suno AI and finalized using Canva (upscaled, with title and label)

What’s Next in the Series
In Part 2, I’ll walk you through how I used the remastered version to create a Cover version—reinterpreting the energy and arrangement using prompt engineering.
In Part 3, I’ll take that further and show how it became the foundation for a lyrically adapted version that expands the Jack Righteous origin story.
