If you need a simple cadence, use four focused sessions: Choose → Protect → Execute → Close & Record. The four-hour baseline is a support structure, not a rule. Shorter or longer cycles are fine when the work requires them.
The record passes when…
- there is one priority, not an unranked list;
- the foundation and constraints are visible;
- the Cycle has an objective definition of done;
- the action is actually closed or deliberately stopped;
- the result and evidence have a known home;
- the Operator decision and next action are explicit.
