The Case Against Diddy: Power, Scandal & the Endgame
A free Jack Righteous investigative report examining celebrity power, industry systems, allegations, accountability and the legal case surrounding Sean “Diddy” Combs.
This report began before the federal criminal case reached its final trial outcome. The legal record has since changed substantially, so this product page now separates the original investigation from what the courts ultimately decided.
Where the federal case stands
In July 2025, a federal jury acquitted Combs of racketeering conspiracy and sex-trafficking charges. The jury convicted him on two counts involving transportation to engage in prostitution under the Mann Act.
On October 3, 2025, U.S. District Judge Arun Subramanian sentenced Combs to 50 months in federal prison, imposed a $500,000 fine and ordered five years of supervised release. Combs has challenged the conviction and sentence on appeal.
What this report is about
The Case Against Diddy looks beyond one verdict to examine the larger questions that made the story culturally significant:
- how Combs built influence across music, media and business;
- the allegations and civil litigation that reshaped public scrutiny of that power;
- the federal prosecution and the difference between charges, evidence, acquittals and convictions;
- the role of celebrity, institutional protection and accountability;
- how a public narrative can change as verified facts replace earlier claims and predictions.
Editorial note: Allegations are not findings of fact. Acquitted charges are identified as acquittals. Convictions are identified separately. This report should be read as an evolving investigation tied to a changing public record, not as proof of every allegation made against Combs.

Yo, I had NO idea the industry was this shady! The stuff about Bad Boy and Diddy’s empire? Mind blown. Definitely made me rethink how artists get played.
They really tell it like it is! The whole chapter on power struggles and money drama got me thinking. Not everything that glitters is gold, folks!
Okay, this book spills ALL the tea. The Diddy drama, the exploitation – it's like a behind-the-scenes doc. Newbies need to read this before diving into music.
I was NOT ready for all these shady secrets! The breakdown of legal risks? Priceless info. Made me realize how easy it is to get trapped in the hype.
They really went IN on the dirty side of the biz. Those parts about how artists get exploited? Whoa. A wake-up call for anyone chasing fame.
