Leonardo AI Creator Training Hub | Images, Video, Editing & Consistency

Jack Righteous · Phase 1 Platform Training

Leonardo AI Creator Training Hub

Use Leonardo as a controlled visual production environment: define the job, establish references, generate options, preserve what works, edit the failed component, extend into motion when needed, then finish for the destination.

Updated September 1, 2026 · Create What You Love | Love What You Create.

JR operating principle: Generate → Select → Preserve → Refine → Extend. Leonardo changes quickly, so this hub teaches durable creator decisions while model names, token costs and plan entitlements stay centralized and time-stamped where they matter.

Start with the job

I need a complete first project

Go from creative brief through image generation, references, correction, consistency, upscale, motion and export without wandering through every feature.

Complete Leonardo Creator Workflow →

I need still images, cover art or campaign visuals

Start here on the hub: brief the asset, choose format before generation, build a usable prompt, compare controlled variations and keep a source master before destructive finishing.

Image Production Path →

I need recurring characters, products or visual identity

Choose the right reference layer: Character, Style or Content guidance for project references; Elements when a reusable trained identity or style is justified.

Image Guidance + Elements →

One part of the image is wrong

Do not restart a useful generation. Use the Omni editing mindset to isolate the failed object, background, text, composition or detail while preserving the approved parts.

Omni Editor + CONTROL →

Image production baseline

1. Define the destination. Cover art, article image, thumbnail, vertical social, product concept and print asset need different composition rules. Choose aspect ratio and safe zones before spending generations.
2. Build the visual brief. Subject + action + environment + composition + lighting + visual treatment + must-keep elements + do-not-change constraints.
3. Generate for selection, not perfection. Compare a small controlled set. Pick the strongest composition and identity before piling on prompt changes.
4. Preserve the winning source. Keep the approved generation, prompt, references and important settings before editing.
5. Repair locally. Use prompt-based editing, object/background correction and guidance rather than re-rolling the whole concept.
6. Add consistency only where needed. Use references or Elements because the project requires repeatability—not because more controls automatically make a better image.
7. Finish for delivery. Upscale, resize and move to Canva or another layout tool when typography, print layout or campaign assembly is the real remaining job.

Video and motion

I want to animate a strong image

The existing Leonardo Video Guide remains the specialist Page for the current multi-model motion workflow.

Leonardo AI Video Guide →

I need continuity across shots

Use clean start frames, end frames, image/video references and saved frames as production anchors instead of hoping every clip remembers the last one.

Video Continuity Workflow →

I do not know which model to choose

Choose by the scene or image job, run a controlled comparison and log the result. Avoid rebuilding training around whichever model launched last week.

Image + Video Model Selector →

I want real JR production evidence

The WAR COMES labs document current Leonardo teaser production, preparation and the lessons from Production Run #2.

Finish, upscale and hand off

I need higher-resolution delivery or print

Upscaling is a finishing decision, not a cure for weak composition. Learn when to upscale, what to inspect afterward, and when to hand the asset to Canva for typography and print layout.

Upscale + Canva / Print Workflow →

I want to keep editing elsewhere

That is normal. Leonardo can own ideation, generation, references, correction and motion while Canva, Photoshop, Premiere or another destination tool owns the final assembly.

Specialist and advanced routes

Leonardo Music v1

This remains a separate field-test route. It is not allowed to distort the visual-production baseline while the music feature is still being evaluated.

Leonardo Music Generation Guide →

3D generation

Leonardo now includes 3D generation. For Phase 1 it belongs as an advanced output route from a strong 2D concept, not as another Page. We will deepen it when real JR/user demand justifies the training.

API / scaled production

Leonardo API access is a separate developer workflow. Keep it outside the beginner baseline unless automation or application development is the actual job.

Older Motion / Veo training

Keep the existing model-specific articles as historical/current context without letting them become the platform architecture.

Motion 2.0 Context →
Veo on Leonardo →

How to use changing models and plans

Leonardo regularly adds and retires models. Exact token costs, free allowances, relaxed-generation eligibility, output limits and model availability can change. Use the current app/pricing page when a purchase or exact credit calculation matters. The training here stays focused on the job: what needs to remain consistent, what can vary, what failed, and what should be changed next.

Do not confuse access with skill. A larger plan gives more capacity. It does not replace a clear brief, reference discipline, controlled testing or QA.

The baseline standard

A Leonardo project is ready to leave Phase 1 when the creator can explain the visual job, reproduce the core identity, preserve approved source material, fix local failures without random drift, choose image/video models by evidence, and export a fit-for-purpose asset.

Where Leonardo fits in the JR Creator System

Primary Road: Find Your Brand · OWN IT. Leonardo is strongest when a creator needs a repeatable visual identity and assets for the owned home, discovery and launch. Secondary: Find Your Voice when character, story world or visual point of view is still being defined. Downstream: Module 14 · Release & Grow when those assets become campaign material. Leonardo is the visual production layer—not the creator curriculum.

Identity/story is still unclear

Do not generate a larger visual library until the creator can explain what the visual world is meant to communicate.

Find Your Voice →

The brand system needs building

Use references, Elements, repeatable composition rules and controlled correction to create assets that can survive more than one post.

Find Your Brand →

The assets are ready for release/campaign use

Move the approved visuals into release and measurement instead of generating indefinitely.

Operate & Grow →

The blocker is elsewhere

Use the full roadmap rather than forcing Leonardo into a job it does not own.

What Leonardo can help you prove

Creation / Provenance

Possible movement: SELF-DECLARED → preserve visual brief, prompts, source references, model choices, generated candidates, edits and final exports → DOCUMENTED.

Still unproven: copyright status or third-party rights.

Third-Party Rights

Work: keep permission/license records for source images, logos, products, characters, public-domain material and any uploaded visual reference. Possible movement: toward RIGHTS CLEAR — REVIEWED SCOPE when the actual evidence supports it.

Still unproven: generation or editing capability does not clear source rights.

Brand Readiness

Possible progression: BRAND — FORMING / DEVELOPING → visual brief + reference system + consistent assets across actual touchpoints → BRAND — PROVEN and potentially BRAND READY when the system works repeatedly in public.

Still unproven: one polished cover or image does not establish brand readiness.

Project / Release Readiness

Work: finish the correct cover, thumbnail, campaign image, motion asset or visual package for its destination; preserve the source and final export. Possible movement: DEVELOPMENT READY → REVIEW READY and potentially RELEASE READY for the visual deliverable.

Still unproven: the underlying music/book/product, distribution or campaign may still have separate blockers.

Creator Control / Independence

Work: preserve prompts, references, approved masters and editable handoff files; avoid making one platform the only copy of the visual system. Possible movement: PLATFORM DEPENDENT → PARTIALLY OWNED / more CREATOR CONTROLLED.

Still unproven: possession of an exported image does not establish rights to every element inside it.

Evidence Confidence

Work: retain A/B generations, correction history, source references and destination use so another person can trace the visual decision. Possible movement: SELF-DECLARED → DOCUMENTED; JR REVIEWED only after actual review; PROVEN IN USE after real deployment.

Evidence to keep: creative/visual brief; source-reference files and permissions; prompt and important generation settings; model used when material; Character/Style/Content guidance or Elements records; controlled variation comparisons; approved source generation; Omni/local-edit history; start/end/reference frames for motion; upscaled master; final destination exports; and screenshots/links showing real public use when claiming BRAND — PROVEN or PROVEN IN USE.
This tool does not prove: copyrightability, third-party rights clearance, BRAND READY, RELEASE READY, CAMPAIGN READY, audience readiness, commercial readiness, platform approval or legal certification. Image generation does not automatically establish a coherent brand.

Human Authorship Ladder · Phase 2

Possible entry: AI GENERATED or AI ASSISTED. A generated image can begin at AI GENERATED even when the creator supplied a detailed prompt; human-created source material, a substantial visual brief, original photography/drawing or later substantive editing can change the evidence picture.

Human contribution that can move the work: create the visual brief; define composition and must-keep rules; select references for documented reasons; run controlled comparisons; make substantive Omni/local edits; build continuity across characters/scenes; combine, arrange or finish assets in a larger composition; direct motion with start/end/reference frames; add human-created typography/layout or other authored elements where applicable.

Evidence to retain: visual brief, original source material, permissions, prompts, controlled candidates, reference choices, edit history, continuity decisions, before/after assets, editable handoff files and final destination exports.

Possible authorship movement: AI GENERATED → AI ASSISTED → HUMAN LED + AI → potentially HUMAN AUTHORSHIP DOCUMENTED when the creator's substantive visual decisions and edits are preserved.

Does not prove: that prompt detail or selecting the best image alone establishes human authorship, copyrightability, third-party rights, BRAND READY or RELEASE READY.

Next human-control step: identify whether the unresolved job is identity, composition, consistency, repair, story, layout, rights or campaign use. Do not generate more merely to move the ladder.

JR Universe

Leonardo has real JR Universe production evidence through the WAR COMES visual labs. This is not a hypothetical use case.

See it in practice: WAR COMES

The WAR COMES Leonardo Dry Run #1 and Production Run #2 lessons document an actual JR project moving through visual direction, generation, selection, correction and learning. That gives Leonardo a legitimate tool instruction → creator decision → produced asset → evidence → larger JR Universe project route. Readiness still has to be claimed dimension by dimension; the case study is evidence, not blanket certification.
