If one Persona keeps carrying into the next verse, chorus or character after you use Extend, treat it as a vocal-identity transition problem—not just a bad generation. The goal is to preserve each voice role, create a clean boundary, and only then continue the song.
This is a Vocal Identity and Continuation Control problem.

Recent V6 discussions include creators reporting that one Persona can bleed into the next section after Extend, sometimes for several lines before switching—or failing to switch cleanly at all. Other users report broader voice-identity drift, including a singer changing character as the arrangement becomes heavier or as a long song progresses.
Those are user reports, not proof that every V6 Persona or Voice behaves this way. But they are enough to justify a workflow that protects vocal identity instead of assuming the model will infer every transition correctly.
The Jack Righteous rule
Do not ask the next section to both continue the song and redefine the singer at the same time unless you have created a clean handoff.
Step 1: Build a voice-role map
Before generating a multi-voice song, write the cast like a production plan:
- Persona 1: intro + verse 1
- Persona 2: chorus
- Persona 3: verse 2
- Persona 4: bridge or response vocal
Then define what makes each voice different: register, tone, delivery, emotional intensity, rhythm, and whether it should sing lead, harmony or response.

Step 2: Extend from a clean identity boundary
The transition point matters. If the previous singer is still active right up to the cut, Extend may inherit more of that identity than you want.
Before extending:
- find the last clean musical phrase from the current singer;
- avoid cutting inside a sustained vocal, ad-lib or harmony tail;
- use the cleanest possible instrumental or transition moment;
- confirm the next Persona before generating;
- keep the next section request focused on the new role.

Step 3: Isolate the transition
If the new section begins with the wrong singer and then slowly morphs into the right one, do not keep regenerating the entire continuation blindly.
Instead, treat the first few lines as a transition problem:
- shorten the section you are asking Suno to solve;
- remove unnecessary style changes at the same time;
- keep the instrumentation stable while changing only the vocal role;
- once the new voice is correct, continue from that new clean anchor.

Step 4: Repair the wrong section instead of the whole song
If the song is strong and only the transition contains the wrong singer, use localized editing rather than rebuilding everything.

Step 5: Know when vocal identity matters more than convenience
