In 2024, I made strides on Bandcamp with the release of my first official EP, Jack Righteous: Origins Vol 1. This project was a significant step in my music journey, as it taught me valuable lessons about connecting with audiences and refining my release strategy. Lessons Learned from 2024

1. Add Lyrics for Every Song

   • In 2024, not including lyrics made my content virtually unfindable. Adding lyrics to every song ensures discoverability and helps fans connect with the music on a deeper level.

2. Tag Appropriately

   • Proper tagging is critical. This includes adding AI labels, genre-specific tags, and mood labels to enhance visibility and allow listeners to find my music through better-defined categories.

3. Release Singles Strategically

   • I learned that unless you already have a strong following, songs further down an album list often go unheard. To combat this, I’ve chosen to release singles separately, ensuring each track gets individual attention. The flexibility of owning my domain allows me to still present these as albums while testing which tracks perform well. Successful singles can then be compiled into new albums along with additional merchandise, either on Bandcamp or directly through my site.

4. Engage Fans with Clear Stories

   • Each song needs to be supported by its story. Sharing the inspirations and meanings behind tracks like "Sanctuary" and "Sins of di Father" creates a stronger emotional connection with the audience and invites them into the creative journey.

Origins Vol 1: The Core of My 2024 Strategy

The Jack Righteous: Origins Vol 1 EP was a creative and personal milestone for me. The album features two singles presented in two distinct versions, showcasing my emotional and lyrical growth:

By utilizing similar vocal and musical styles, I aim to maintain a coherent theme throughout the album, illustrating how these techniques can enhance storytelling and emotional depth in a project.

The Vision for Holy Smokes!: A Reggae Rock Epic Musical

My ultimate goal is to create a Reggae Rock Epic Musical in the spirit of The Epic by Kamasi Washington, but rooted in the Book of Genesis through the lens of Jack Righteous. The album, Holy Smokes! The Genesis Reincarnation Project, is a prototype—a first step toward a larger vision. It reflects the idea that what once seemed like an absurd fantasy can now be completed within a month if so inspired.

The project spans from the beginning of creation to the end of King David's reign, told from the perspective of a reincarnating ass named Jack Righteous. While this prototype is not the final version, it represents the foundation for a full-length show that captures the grandeur and storytelling of the Bible in a wholly unique way.
