Suno Voice Verification Failed: Fix Upload and Audio Errors
If Suno explicitly rejects your Voice, start here: confirm you're using Add Voice, use a clean authorized recording, read the displayed phrase clearly, and make sure the verification voice matches the uploaded singer.
August 2026 update
Does the Timer Reach Zero Without a Result?
That is not the same problem as Suno explicitly rejecting your voice. Multiple users have reported verification stalls/timeouts, and there are community-reported browser/privacy workarounds. We now track that separately so you don't waste time repeating the same phrase.
If verification succeeds but Create Voice errors afterward, use the same troubleshooting article. At that point, the failure is occurring after verification and should not be treated as only a pronunciation problem.
Normal verification
Use Add Voice—not General Upload Audio
From Create, choose Add Voice → Create Voice. Suno currently allows a Voice source from a qualifying library song, live microphone recording or a file uploaded inside the Create Voice dialog.
Source duration
Suno documents recordings/uploads from 15 seconds to four minutes, with up to two minutes selected.
Best source
Clean a cappella audio tends to produce the clearest result. Use one unmistakable authorized singer with minimal noise, reverb or competing vocals.
Verification phrase
Suno compares the live spoken phrase against the uploaded singing voice and checks that the displayed words were spoken.
Rights
Use only a voice you own or are authorized to use. Verification is an identity/rights safeguard, not something to bypass.
If Suno says verification failed
Run One Clean Retry
- Close the failed dialog and reopen Create.
- Start a new Voice profile through Add Voice.
- Use a clean source with one lead singer.
- Preview the selected segment and confirm the voice is clear.
- Read the displayed phrase naturally and clearly in a quiet environment.
If Suno explicitly rejects the phrase again, check microphone capture and source/speaker match. If instead the timer hangs, reaches zero, says “Something went wrong,” or verification succeeds and the next step errors, switch to the dedicated stuck/timeout guide.
When to escalate
Contact Suno for Account-Specific Failures
If an authorized clean source meets the documented requirements and a controlled retry still fails, preserve the exact error/screenshot, browser or app version, device, account plan, source duration and whether mobile/web behave differently.
