Creative Intent Brief
Before you prompt, generate, write, design or campaign, decide what job the project is supposed to do. This brief is deliberately tool-neutral so the same thinking can guide music, scripts, pitches, social campaigns, brand work and portfolio projects.
This is your first project record. Do not wait for perfect answers. Write the best decision you can make now. You can revise the brief as the project becomes clearer. The point is to give the work a direction before tools, prompts and generated options start pulling you in different directions.
Step 2 · WorkflowYour intent helps decide which tools, files, sources and human checkpoints actually belong in the project.
Step 3 · DirectionYour answers become the basis for clearer targets, boundaries, references and success criteria.
Step 4 · SelectionYour brief gives you a reason to choose one version over another instead of selecting by novelty or impulse.
Define the project you are actually building.
Completion standard: another person should be able to read your answers and understand the job, audience, direction, AI role and human responsibility without guessing. You should also be able to use the brief to reject an attractive idea that does not serve the project.

Why does Creative Intent matter at a professional level?
If you want more than the worksheet, study the principles behind it: problem framing, scope control, human agency, success criteria, decision provenance and why serious creative work needs a governing intent before tools begin producing options.

Keep the intent with the work.
Save the draft on this device, copy it into your project notes, or print/save it as a PDF. This record should travel with the project as you move through DEFINE and into the deeper build.
