Label-Ready Track Challenge: Official Details & Entry Rules

The Label-Ready Track Challenge
Create and submit one original track that shows the song strength, production quality, vocal presentation, artist identity and creative direction needed for serious professional consideration.
What “label-ready” means here
Label-ready does not mean guaranteed to be signed. It means the song, production, vocal presentation, artist identity and creative direction are strong enough to be presented seriously to experienced music professionals.

Who can enter
The campaign is open to legal residents of Canada, including Quebec, and the United States who are 18 years of age or older.
Entrants must be verified VIP Plus owners, active Complete Access members, or active AI Creator Training subscribers when they submit and must remain eligible through the September 27, 2026 winner announcement.
Jack Righteous staff, campaign judges, participating partners, and their immediate family or household members are not eligible.
Entry limits and collaborations
- One track per creator for this campaign period.
- Collaborations are allowed, with a maximum of two official co-authors per entry.
- Both co-authors must be named on the submission and listed in the track’s official songwriting credits.
- One person must serve as the primary campaign contact.
- If a collaborative entry places, each eligible named co-author receives the full applicable prize package.
- All consultation, training, feedback and professional review remain focused on the submitted track and its related project.
Eligible music
All genres and AI music tools are allowed. Human-made, AI-assisted, AI-generated and hybrid workflows may qualify.
The track may be new or existing, released or unreleased. Entrants must have the right to submit every part of the material they provide.
Unauthorized samples, copied lyrics, unapproved use of another creator’s recording, or unapproved imitation of a real person’s voice may make an entry ineligible unless the required permissions can be confirmed.
How to submit
All entries must be submitted through ASK JACK using the request type Label-Ready Track Challenge Submission.
The submission must include:
- Primary creator name and membership email
- Country and province or state
- Confirmation that the entrant is 18+
- Track title and artist or project name
- Listening link or accepted audio submission
- Names of up to two official co-authors
- Songwriting and composition credits
- Lyrics, where applicable
- Short track description and intended audience
- Most important creative decisions
- AI and production tools used
- Rights and permission confirmation
- Campaign promotional-use permission
- Agreement to these entry rules
If required information is missing, the entrant may receive one opportunity to complete it before the deadline. An entry that remains incomplete when submissions close will not be eligible.
Revisions and withdrawal
Entrants may revise or replace their submitted track before September 13, 2026, at 11:59 p.m. Eastern Time. The most recent eligible version received through ASK JACK becomes the official submission.
Entrants may also withdraw before the deadline. A withdrawn track will not be judged unless it is resubmitted before submissions close.
Rights concerns and corrections
If a credible rights or permission concern arises, the entrant may be asked to provide proof, correct the issue, or replace the disputed material within two to three business days.
If the concern is not resolved within that period, Jack Righteous may reject or disqualify the entry. The entrant remains responsible for the material submitted.
Your music remains yours
No ownership or control is transferred
Jack Righteous does not take ownership, publishing rights, master rights, songwriting rights, management rights, representation rights, or control of a submitted track.
Entrants retain all ownership and grant only a limited, non-exclusive, royalty-free permission for campaign-related promotional use.
That promotional permission may include featuring the full track or approved excerpts, artwork, creator names, credits, campaign interviews and relevant links. It is limited to promoting, reporting on and recognizing this campaign and does not create an exclusive licence or transfer copyright.
How entries will be judged
Final selection will be led by Jack Righteous and may include invited campaign partners or qualified reviewers. Entries will be considered using a balanced label-readiness standard across:
Exact percentages will not be published. If entries are tied, the judging panel will conduct a final head-to-head comparison focused on overall label readiness.
