How to Customize Your Suno Profile in 2026: Name, Photo, Genres, Bio & Links
Gary WhittakerHow to Customize Your Suno Profile in 2026
This is the tactical setup guide. Use it to configure the profile details Suno currently documents—your display name, profile image, genres, bio and external links—then make sure at least one song is intentionally published when you are ready to be discoverable.
If you need the strategy behind those choices first, start with Suno Profile 2026: Turn Public Songs Into a Creator Identity.

Suno's August 2026 guidance says a complete profile with a name, profile photo, bio and a published song makes a creator searchable. Suno also recommends adding genres and external artist links so listeners have more context about who you are and what you make.
Configure the profile in the right order
- Open Edit Profile. On web, open your Suno profile and choose Edit Profile. On mobile, open your profile and use the settings/account controls. If the interface moves, look for the profile/account editing area rather than relying on an old screenshot.
- Set your display name deliberately. Use the artist or creator name you actually want listeners to remember. Suno distinguishes a Display Name from a Handle. They can differ, but consistency can make your identity easier to understand across songs, playlists and your profile URL.
- Add a recognizable profile image. Suno allows an uploaded or generated profile image. Uploaded images can be up to 10 MB and may be cropped into a round avatar, so keep the important visual information centered and readable at small size.
- Choose up to five genres. Use genres that genuinely describe the public work you want associated with the profile. Do not treat genre fields as a keyword dump. Suno says that if genres are left blank, it may update them based on your most popular songs.
- Write a useful bio. In a few clear sentences, explain what you make, the musical or creative point of view behind it, and what a listener should expect. Write for a person first—not for search-engine stuffing.
- Add relevant external links. Suno specifically points creators toward artist destinations such as Spotify, TikTok, Instagram and SoundCloud. Link only destinations you actually maintain and want a listener to continue into.
- Publish at least one intentional song when ready. New Suno songs are Link-Only by default. Publishing makes a song public on your profile and can make it eligible for broader Suno discovery. Do not publish unfinished generations merely to make the profile look full.
Keep identity consistency without forcing everything to match
Your Display Name is the creator name people see. Your Handle is tied more directly to the profile URL and account identity. Suno says the two can be different, but matching them can improve consistency.
Good reason to match
You are building one long-term artist identity and the matching handle is available.
Good reason not to panic
Your established display name and existing handle already differ, but listeners can still clearly understand that they belong to the same creator.
Before changing an established identity, consider whether the change will create confusion on your other platforms. Consistency across Suno, streaming profiles and your own site is usually more valuable than endlessly optimizing one field.
Use five slots as classification, not promotion
Suno currently recommends adding up to five genres. Pick the labels that best describe the public catalogue you want people to understand today. If your work spans many styles, choose the recurring musical lanes rather than listing every experiment you have ever generated.
A practical test: if someone enjoyed one public song and saw only your five genre choices, would those labels make the rest of the catalogue feel more predictable or more confusing?
Answer three listener questions quickly
What do you make?
Name the musical territory or kind of project clearly.
What makes it yours?
Give one human point of view, theme, influence or creative intention.
Where should I go next?
If appropriate, use your profile links to provide the continuation instead of cramming promotional URLs into the bio itself.
Design for a small circular crop
Suno says uploaded profile images can be up to 10 MB and may appear with a round crop. Avoid tiny text, edge-dependent logos or important details near the corners. A strong profile image should still make sense when viewed at thumbnail size next to a song.
This is one reason the profile-strategy guide and this setup guide are separate: the tactical question is how to upload the image; the strategy question is what identity should the image reinforce.
Profile completion should not become catalogue clutter
Suno's current guidance connects a complete profile with at least one published song. That does not mean every generation should be public. New songs are Link-Only by default, giving you room to create, compare and revise before you choose what belongs on the public page.
For the broader decision about what your public profile should accomplish, use Suno Profile 2026. For the mechanics of Public songs, Search, Explore, playlists, Trending and Hooks, use How Suno Music Discovery Works in 2026.
Check the profile as a stranger would see it
- Name: Is the artist/creator identity immediately understandable?
- Image: Does the avatar still work at thumbnail size?
- Genres: Do the selected genres describe the public catalogue instead of unrelated experiments?
- Bio: Can a new listener understand what you make and why it is worth another listen?
- Links: Do the external destinations work and represent the same identity?
- Public song: Is the song you are presenting one you actually want helping define the project?
- Continuation: After the first song, is there an obvious reason to hear a second one?
Now test the profile with one real song
Do not stop at cosmetic setup. Use one intentional song to test whether your profile and discovery path make sense together.
