Label-Ready Track Challenge | Official Details & Entry Rules
Label-Ready Track Challenge
Create and submit one original track that demonstrates song strength, production quality, vocal presentation, artist identity and creative direction suitable for serious professional consideration.
Opens: September 1, 2026 at 12:01 a.m. ET
Closes: October 4, 2026 at 11:59 p.m. ET
1. Organizer and campaign type
The organizer is Gary Whittaker, operating as Jack Righteous, Montreal, Quebec, Canada. Campaign questions may be sent to info@jackrighteous.com.
This is a skill-based member challenge. No random draw or public popularity vote determines placement. There is no additional competition entry fee beyond holding qualifying access described below.
2. Entry period
Official entries are accepted only from September 1, 2026 at 12:01 a.m. Eastern Time through October 4, 2026 at 11:59 p.m. Eastern Time. Late entries are not accepted.
3. Who can enter
Entrants must be legal residents of Canada, including Quebec, or the United States and be 18 years of age or older.
Qualifying access must be valid when the official submission is received. The current qualifying products are:
- JR Creator Library — One-Time, including qualifying owners of the product previously presented as VIP Plus;
- JR Creator Library — Membership, including qualifying subscribers to the product previously presented as AI Creator Training, active when the submission is received; or
- Complete Access, active when the submission is received.
Existing customers and new customers may qualify during the entry period. Later cancellation or expiration does not disqualify an otherwise eligible submission. Purchase price, access level and additional purchases do not influence judging.
Jack Righteous staff, campaign judges, participating partners, and their immediate family or household members are not eligible.
4. Entry limits and collaborations
- One track per creator during this campaign period.
- Collaborations may include a maximum of two official co-authors per entry.
- Both co-authors must be named in the submission and listed in the official songwriting credits.
- Each co-author who may receive a prize must independently satisfy age, residence and qualifying-access requirements.
- One person must serve as the primary campaign contact.
- All consultation, training, feedback and professional review remain focused on the submitted track and its related project.
5. Eligible music and rights
All genres and AI music tools are permitted. Human-made, AI-assisted, AI-generated and hybrid workflows may qualify. The track may be new or existing, released or unreleased.
Entrants must hold the rights and permissions necessary to submit all material provided. Unauthorized samples, copied lyrics, unapproved use of another creator’s recording, or unapproved imitation of a real person’s voice may make an entry ineligible unless required permissions can be confirmed.
If a credible rights or permission concern arises, the entrant may be asked to provide proof, correct the issue, or replace disputed material within two to three business days. If the concern is not resolved, Jack Righteous may reject or disqualify the entry.
6. How to submit
All entries must be submitted through the dedicated ASK JACK Label-Ready Track Challenge submission route during the official entry period.

If required information is missing, the entrant may receive one opportunity to complete it before the deadline. An entry that remains incomplete when submissions close is not eligible.
7. Revisions and withdrawal
Entrants may revise or replace their submitted track before October 4, 2026 at 11:59 p.m. ET. The most recent eligible version received through ASK JACK becomes the official submission. Entrants may withdraw before the deadline and may resubmit before closing if otherwise eligible.
8. Judging
Final selection will be led by Jack Righteous and may include qualified reviewers. Every eligible entry is scored using the same 100-point framework:
- 25 points: song strength, composition, structure and lyrics where applicable
- 20 points: production quality and vocal presentation
- 20 points: artist identity and creative direction
- 15 points: audience clarity and originality
- 20 points: professional presentation and overall label readiness
An entry must score at least 70/100 to place. If fewer than three entries meet that threshold, fewer than three placements may be awarded.
Ties: tied entries are compared in order of song strength/composition, artist identity/creative direction, then professional presentation/overall label readiness. If still tied, the lead judge records a final comparative decision using the same published criteria.
Conflicts: a reviewer with a material financial, family, household or direct creative interest in an entry must disclose it and will not score that entry. Another qualified reviewer may be appointed or the documented review completed directly by Jack Righteous.

11. First-place professional review

This does not guarantee that any label, publisher, distributor, manager, reviewer or partner will sign, release, purchase, promote, respond to, or otherwise act on the track.
12. Ownership and promotional permission
No ownership or control is transferred. Jack Righteous does not take ownership, publishing rights, master rights, songwriting rights, management rights, representation rights or control of a submitted track.
Entrants retain ownership and grant only a limited, non-exclusive, royalty-free permission for campaign-related promotion. That permission may include featuring the full track or approved excerpts, artwork, creator names, credits, campaign interviews and relevant links solely to promote, report on and recognize this campaign.
13. Winner verification and acceptance
Before prize activation, Jack Righteous will verify each winner’s identity, age, residence, qualifying access, co-author information, rights confirmations and submission details.
Winners must respond and accept their prize within 14 calendar days of being contacted. If a winner does not respond, Jack Righteous may select the next highest-ranked eligible entry. Winners may be asked to sign a narrow prize-acceptance and limited promotional-use agreement that does not transfer ownership or control of the track.
14. Timeline after closing
- October 5–17: judging and eligibility verification.
- October 18: up to three qualifying winners are contacted and announced.
15. Privacy and administration
Submission information is used to administer eligibility, judging, winner communication and the limited campaign promotion authorized by the entrant.
The organizer may correct an administrative error or modify, suspend or cancel the campaign when required by law, platform failure, fraud, security concerns or circumstances that materially prevent fair administration. Material changes will be published on this page and will not be used to favour a particular entrant.
Void where prohibited.
