Final Master & Deliverables
WHERE YOU ARE: The final edit is approved. Now the question changes from “does the song work?” to “which exact file is the release master, and can another professional identify, preserve and hand it off without depending on your memory?”
YOU SHOULD ALREADY HAVE
The exact approved version and your Final Edit Record. If you already completed Sound PACKAGE or another JR handoff workflow on this candidate, bring the Final Asset Package, Sound Handoff Record, export/file-organization record or equivalent evidence instead of recreating it.
THE DECISION
Which exact file is the approved release master for this Label-Ready cycle, and which supporting assets genuinely exist for that same recording?
DO THE WORK
- Review any existing Sound PACKAGE / handoff record and confirm which assets still match the approved edit.
- Export or identify the highest-quality lossless master available from the final workflow.
- Use a deliberate filename containing artist/project, track title and a clear master/version marker.
- Play the exported master—not merely the session—from beginning to end.
- Confirm the beginning and ending are intact and there is no clipping, accidental silence, truncation or export error.
- Preserve stems, instrumental, clean version, alternate mix or source project only when they genuinely exist or are strategically required. Do not fabricate deliverables.
- Keep one untouched archive copy of the approved master.
- Place the master and supporting files in a controlled project folder, reusing a valid upstream structure where one already exists.
- Mark each important asset as IMPORTED, REVALIDATED or NEWLY CREATED so the handoff history is clear.
JR SUPPORT
PACKAGE Your Sound Member Dashboard — use existing export, file-organization and handoff evidence where it already solves the job.
Suno Studio 2.0 Export Guide — when to stay in Studio versus move to a DAW.
Audacity Cleanup & Export Workflow — optional final cleanup/export support.
AI Music Proof File Template — recommended evidence-folder structure.
SAVE THIS
Save a Master Manifest containing the approved release-master filename, format, duration, export/approval date, archive location, upstream package/handoff record references, the last material change, and the supporting files that genuinely exist. Mark which evidence was imported/revalidated versus created in Label-Ready.
DO NOT ADVANCE IF
- You cannot identify one approved master instantly.
- The exported master has not been listened to in full.
- Your only copy is inside one app, session or device.
- The source and finished files are mixed together without clear naming.
- An imported Sound PACKAGE or handoff record describes a materially different version and has not been revalidated.
READY TO CONTINUE WHEN
The exact release master can be handed to another professional without a verbal explanation, its imported evidence is current, and the supporting assets listed in the Master Manifest actually exist.
