Halifax passenger-driver checklist: what to prepare
- Driving experience and licence: Uber lists three years of driving experience and Nova Scotia Class 1, 2, 3, 4 or 4A driver's licences as acceptable for passenger rides.
- Vehicle, insurance and inspection: Nova Scotia Vehicle Permit and Certificate of Automobile Insurance, an SPF 1 auto policy as specified by Uber for Halifax, and an eligible vehicle with a Type 2 Motor Vehicle Inspection Certificate.
- Driving abstract: obtain a current Nova Scotia Registry of Motor Vehicles driving abstract; Uber currently requests submission within 30 days of its issue date.
