GET JACKED Case Study: Building a Wizardly Guitar Backing Track with Suno (and Your Custom Prompt Template)

Quick Intro: What We’re Building

Today we apply everything you've learned so far in a real-world project:

  • ✅ Build a wizardly, magical-feeling guitar backing track for a Choose Your Own Destiny fan fiction game — without using any copyrighted terms.
  • ✅ Use a new Righteous Lyrics Lab GPT Prompt system to build your perfect Suno input blueprint.
  • ✅ Finish with a real example — the song I created using this exact method.

Step-by-Step: Building Your Custom Suno Track the Right Way

Before we dive into my example, you will create your own working Suno blueprint using the Righteous Lyrics Lab prompt system.

Inside the Lab, you will build two critical parts:

  • ✅ Style of Music (max 200 characters)
  • ✅ Custom Lyrics / Meta Structure (max 3000 characters)

We also add two key customization layers:

  • ✅ Artist Signature Notes (global sound identity)
  • ✅ Preferred Sound Notes (section-specific sound flavors)

Your Righteous Lyrics Lab GPT Prompts (Complete System)

🎯 Style of Music Generation Prompt (200 characters max)

You are helping a user create the "Style of Music" field for their Suno AI instrumental track prompt (maximum 200 characters).

This track must feel mystical, enchanted, magical, or ancient — not adventurous, tribal, or cinematic action-oriented.

Ask the user the following questions:

1. What primary emotional tone should dominate the track? (Choose from: mystical, enchanted, dreamlike, ancient, magical.)
2. What 1–2 musical genres or styles should shape the overall mood? (Examples: cinematic ambient, mystical folk, medieval ambient, acoustic balladry.)
3. Which instruments must carry the emotional weight of the track? (Examples: acoustic guitar, clean electric guitar, cinematic violin, ambient pads, sustained deep 808 bass.)

After gathering answers:

- Compose a natural, vivid Style of Music sentence under 200 characters.
- Structure the sentence as:
  - Emotional tone first
  - Genre influences second
  - Core instruments third
- Avoid technical lists; the sentence must feel like a living description.
- Absolutely no references to battles, epic adventures, conquests, or copyrighted names.

Focus on creating a soundscape that feels timeless, hidden, magical, and emotionally immersive.

🎯 Custom Lyrics / Meta Structure Generation Prompt (3000 characters max)

You are helping a user create the "Custom Lyrics / Meta Structure" field for their Suno AI instrumental track prompt (maximum 3000 characters).

This track must feel mystical, enchanted, magical, or ancient — not adventurous, epic, tribal, or battle-themed.

Ask the user these questions:

1. What emotional atmosphere should the Intro create? (Examples: mystical calm, soft wonder, hidden magic, ancient mystery.)
2. What emotional or rhythmic movement should the Verse bring? (Examples: gentle unfolding, steady mystical flow, hidden energy awakening.)
3. How should the Chorus lift or deepen the feeling? (Examples: magical discovery, enchanted emotional swell, warm mystical embrace.)
4. Would you like a Breakdown? If yes, describe its mood or sound texture. (Examples: sparse echoes, whispered ambient tension, ancient stillness.)
5. Would you like a Bridge? If yes, describe its emotional transition. (Examples: rising hidden power, celestial mystery, ancient light emerging.)
6. Would you like a Solo section? If yes, specify:
    - Lead instrument (Examples: acoustic guitar, cinematic violin, soft clean electric guitar)
    - Emotional goal of the solo (Examples: soaring hope, haunting reflection, quiet magic.)
7. What emotional closure should the Outro deliver? (Examples: ambient mist fade, gentle magic lingering, soft dissolving echoes.)

Optional:
- If the user wants specific instrument or sound highlights inside any section (e.g., violin counter-melody during Chorus, sustained 808 during Verse), allow them to specify "Preferred Sound Notes" attached to that section.

After gathering answers:

- Generate a structured output using this format:

[Intro: (description) | preferred sound: (optional)]
[Verse: (description) | preferred sound: (optional)]
[Chorus: (description) | preferred sound: (optional)]
[Breakdown: (description) | preferred sound: (optional)] (omit if not used)
[Bridge: (description) | preferred sound: (optional)] (omit if not used)
[Solo: (description) | preferred sound: (optional)] (omit if not used)
[Chorus: (description) | preferred sound: (optional)]
[Outro: (description) | preferred sound: (optional)]

Important Instructions:

- Omit any section the user chooses not to use.
- Keep each section vivid but concise (ideally under 200 characters).
- Focus all descriptions on mystical, magical, ancient emotional tones.
- No battle energy, no cinematic epic tension, no tribal action words unless explicitly authorized.
- Avoid technical musical theory language unless the user requests it.
- No copyrighted or brand-specific names.

The final structure should read like emotional stage directions for an unseen enchanted world.

How I Built My Track (My Real Example)

Style of Music:

"Mystical and enchanted, blending cinematic ambient and folk influences with acoustic guitar, clean electric guitar, deep 808 bass accents, and cinematic violin counter-melodies."

Artist Signature Notes:

"Heavy sustained 808 bass presence, rich acoustic guitar foundation, cinematic violin counter-melodies."

Custom Lyrics / Meta Structure:

[Intro: soft acoustic arpeggios and ambient pad]
[Verse: gentle guitar groove with light orchestral strings | preferred sound: sustained 808 bass under rhythm]
[Chorus: uplifting full band swell evoking a magical quest | preferred sound: cinematic violin weaving behind guitars]
[Breakdown: minimal percussion and bass, ambient echoes]
[Bridge: orchestral strings layering tension, building soaring energy]
[Solo: melodic clean electric guitar lead rising with cinematic backdrop]
[Chorus: enchanted return with full band and violin echoes]
[Outro: soft acoustic fade with ambient mist and violin counter melodies]
