Do not choose a model before you know the scene job

Atlabs exposes multiple image, video and voice models and a large style library. Those options are useful only after you know what the shot needs to accomplish. Current Atlabs help documentation lists motion options from providers such as Kling, Google Veo, Seedance, Hailuo, Wan and Runway, while Atlabs continues to add models over time.

Start with six decision factors

• Identity: does the shot need a recurring artist or character to remain recognizable?
• Motion: is the scene mostly camera movement, human action, performance or environmental motion?
• Style: realistic, illustrated, anime, 3D, retro or another deliberate visual family?
• Duration: does the shot need to hold or is it a fast campaign cut?
• Iteration cost: how expensive is it to learn from a failed test?
• Destination: cinematic master, vertical short, explainer, thumbnail source or another job?

Use style as a world rule

Do not change style because a different preset looks impressive in isolation. A release needs enough continuity that viewers experience one visual world. Variation should be intentional and tied to a story or campaign reason.

Use models as production tools

When a scene matters enough to compare models, keep the source frame, motion brief, duration and scene purpose as stable as possible. Change the model, then judge motion quality, identity preservation, artifacts, prompt obedience and whether the result actually serves the edit.

The JR A/B protocol

1. Choose one representative 4–8 second scene.
2. Lock the source frame and creative objective.
3. Write one clear motion instruction.
4. Generate with Model A.
5. Generate the same job with Model B.
6. Compare at normal playback speed, not frame-by-frame only.
7. Choose the model for that production need, not for every future project.

Do not publish a permanent ranking

Model lineups change quickly. A current winner can become irrelevant after the next release. The durable skill is knowing how to run a controlled comparison inside your own project.
