Educator Program Pack

Use the existing 12-session AI Music for Teens path with a class, youth group, workshop series or parent-supported learner—without creating a second curriculum.

The lessons stay with the learner. This page gives the adult the operating system: pacing, session evidence, completion gates, progress tracking and a process-based rubric.

One curriculum. Different delivery models.

This pack does not replace or rewrite the student lessons. The student route remains Youth Creator Lab → AI Music for Teens → lesson → completion record → next lesson. Adult resources help you organize and verify that learning.

The operating rhythm

Every session should preserve the same learner process:

UNDERSTAND → TRY IT → CREATE → COMPARE → DECIDE → RECORD IT → NEXT

60 minutes

10 concept · 10 example · 25 learner work · 10 compare/decide · 5 record/next.

90 minutes

15 concept · 15 guided example · 35 learner work · 15 compare/revise · 10 record/reflection.

120 minutes

20 concept · 20 guided practice · 50 learner work · 20 compare/revise · 10 record/next.

Generation fails?

Preserve the learning outcome with prepared examples. Do not turn the class into tech support or force account creation.

Three completion gates

Level 1 · Make With Intention

Complete when the learner can explain intent, comparison, diagnosis and one targeted revision.

Level 2 · Build the Song

Complete when the learner can analyze a reference without copying, define a sound lane, assign section jobs and prove one deliberate energy decision.

Level 3 · Finish the Work

Complete when the learner can repair or hold the right blocker, quality-check the whole track, document contributions and make a responsible next-use decision.

Public posting is never required

A learner may finish successfully by choosing SHARE, HOLD, KEEP PRIVATE or KEEP WORKING for a clear reason.

Facilitator control checklist

Before: confirm lesson, prerequisite, evidence, approved access, no-account fallback, privacy/voice boundaries and group roles.

During: state why the lesson matters, teach only the essential concept, protect learner decision-making, compare with evidence and record the decision.

Before ending: ask: What were you trying to do? What did you create or change? What did you notice? What did you decide? What evidence did you record? What comes next?

If time runs short: stop new generations, save the current evidence, record the next test and resume from that checkpoint.

Simple class progress tracker

You do not need a complex learning-management system. Use initials or an organization-approved learner ID and track only what is needed for learning progress.

Learner ID Current session Status Evidence collected Next action Hold?
_____ _____ Not started / In progress / Complete ________________ ________________ Yes / No
_____ _____ Not started / In progress / Complete ________________ ________________ Yes / No
_____ _____ Not started / In progress / Complete ________________ ________________ Yes / No

Do not use a class tracker as a repository for unnecessary personal, sensitive or permission details.

Portfolio & completion rubric

Assess the learner's process evidence—not whether you personally like the song.

3 · Clear evidence

The learner explains the decision and shows supporting project evidence.

2 · Developing evidence

The decision exists, but explanation or evidence is incomplete.

1 · Limited evidence

An output exists, but the learner cannot yet explain the decision or show useful evidence.

0 · Not demonstrated

The decision or required evidence has not been completed.

Across the path, evaluate creative intent, brief quality, controlled comparison, diagnosis/revision, reference analysis, sound direction, section jobs, energy/arrangement, problem prioritization, whole-track quality control, documentation and the responsible next-use decision.

Do not score: musical taste, genre preference, expensive tools, streaming potential or willingness to post publicly.

Mixed experience levels

Core Task

Everyone completes the same required decision and evidence.

Stretch Task

Advanced learners can predict outcomes, run tighter comparisons, use stronger technical language or justify more complex revisions.

Role Choice

Group learners can contribute through writing, vocals, beat/production, arrangement, research, documentation, visual direction or presentation.

Group evidence

One group may make one song, but each learner should still document their own role, contribution and decisions.

Safety and permission holds

  • Use tools and accounts appropriate for the learner's age and setting.
  • Do not collect or enter unnecessary private information.
  • Do not upload another person's private recording, voice or likeness without appropriate permission.
  • Verify important factual claims when needed.
  • Generation does not automatically create permission to publish.
  • When a permission, cultural, personal or sensitive issue is unresolved, the correct project decision can be HOLD.

What successful completion looks like

A learner should be able to show—not merely claim—that they directed an idea, compared alternatives, made and explained creative decisions, diagnosed and revised specific problems, built and reviewed the song intentionally, documented their contribution and tool use, and decided responsibly what happens next.
