Working rule: do not restart the whole system because one decision changes. Return to the stage that owns the unresolved problem, complete that work, record the result and continue.
CP1 SKILL ROUTING · FIND YOUR SOUND
Project state and training stage are different maps.
Track Builder answers “Where is this song right now?” The CP1 stage answers “What capability is blocking it?” When Track Builder exposes a Sound skill gap, use the smallest paid stage that owns that gap, then bring the updated evidence back to the same project.
FIND · I cannot clearly explain or protect the sound yet.
Use FIND when the direction is still vague, candidate selection is preference-only, or you cannot state what must survive the next change.
Open FINDBUILD · I found the sound, but I cannot reproduce its construction reliably.
Use BUILD when Sound Identity v1 exists but the musical relationships behind it still fail under controlled variation.

Use CONTROL for editing, comping, source/stem problems, local repair, mix intervention or other precision work that should not reopen the whole identity.
