Babylon Files: DOJ, Trump, and the Sealed Epstein Network

Donald Trump promised to “release the Epstein files” if reelected. His base cheered. But nearly a year into his second term, those files remain sealed, FOIA requests are denied, and the Justice Department appears to be protecting the very people Trump once vowed to expose. What began as a campaign vow has evolved into a slow-motion cover-up—one tied to deep networks of power, including foreign intelligence, elite donors, and the woman Revelation once called Babylon’s Whore.

The First Term: Trump, Acosta, and Epstein’s Death

In 2008, Jeffrey Epstein secured a controversial plea deal through then-U.S. Attorney Alexander Acosta—who later became Trump’s Labor Secretary. When Acosta’s ties to the case resurfaced in 2019, he resigned under pressure. That same year, Epstein was arrested again, this time federally, and placed under DOJ custody. Despite being on suicide watch, Epstein died in his cell under highly suspicious circumstances. Trump’s DOJ, led by William Barr, ruled it a suicide and declined to pursue deeper inquiries into who may have aided or benefitted from his death.

The 2024 Campaign: Trump’s Vow to Declassify

During his 2024 campaign, Trump reignited the Epstein controversy to rally his base. At a rally in Ohio, he said, “When I’m back in the White House, we’ll declassify it all—every flight log, every name.” The line went viral. Online forums speculated about who might be named. Supporters assumed Trump would expose both Clinton and globalist elites. Few expected how silent things would become once he won.

POTUS 47: From Exposure to Evasion

Since retaking office in January 2025, Trump has made no public moves to release Epstein documents. Instead, his DOJ has quietly delayed court responses and rejected FOIA requests. Sources inside federal agencies describe “renewed classification reviews” and “ongoing investigations” as the justification. Critics say it’s a stall tactic. Several figures involved in Epstein’s earlier protection now hold key roles within the administration—raising red flags about whether the system is protecting itself.

DOJ and Allies: The Cast of Conflicted Figures

While Trump’s public posture oscillated between crusader and deflector, the real machinery of suppression worked quietly through individuals with longstanding links to the Epstein saga. Many of these figures held or now hold positions within Trump's orbit—or within federal agencies tasked with oversight.

Pam Bondi – Attorney General (2025–)

Bondi’s appointment was seen as a loyalty reward. As Florida’s Attorney General in 2008–2019, she had brushed up against Epstein's Florida legal cases but had never pushed for review or accountability. In 2025, Bondi staged a publicized DOJ review into Epstein’s files but ultimately issued a memo dismissing most conspiracy claims and reaffirming the 2019 suicide ruling. Her critics noted a pattern: grand posturing with little follow-through.

William Barr – Former AG Under Trump 45

Barr oversaw Epstein’s federal detention and the fallout from his 2019 death. Despite calling the situation unacceptable, Barr’s internal investigations yielded little consequence beyond procedural slaps. He opposed conspiracy theories publicly, despite contradictions between his statements and autopsy concerns raised by outside experts.

Alan Dershowitz – Legal Adviser, Media Surrogate

Dershowitz, who defended Trump during his first impeachment trial, has also been named in Epstein-related legal actions. He has denied wrongdoing and sued some accusers for defamation. His proximity to Trump and visible defense of both men has drawn scrutiny, especially when paired with his vocal opposition to broader investigations.

Mark Epstein – Jeffrey’s Brother

Mark Epstein has quietly lobbied to keep many of Jeffrey’s business and estate dealings private. While not officially part of Trump’s team, his legal maneuvers often intersect with DOJ decisions. Multiple FOIA requests related to Mark’s involvement have been delayed or redacted during both Trump presidencies.

Leon Black and Les Wexner – Billionaire Ties

Though not Trump officials, both men had extensive financial dealings with Epstein. Black has donated to Trump-aligned PACs. Wexner, founder of L Brands and longtime associate of Epstein, has stayed largely out of public view. Their continued influence in elite circles—and the DOJ’s unwillingness to revisit their roles—has been seen by critics as selective justice.

Transparency on Trial: FOIA and File Suppression

Trump’s repeated promises to release the Epstein files have collided with the legal and bureaucratic realities of the U.S. justice system—and with a pattern of selective suppression.

In early 2025, a wave of FOIA (Freedom of Information Act) requests were submitted to various agencies —DOJ, FBI, and the Bureau of Prisons—seeking access to:

  • Visitor logs to Epstein’s jail cell in 2019
  • Flight logs and manifests from Epstein’s private jets
  • Financial records tied to Epstein’s offshore accounts
  • Communications between Epstein, his co-conspirators, and high-ranking government officials

Initially, the Trump administration appeared receptive. Trump made vague statements about “fasttracking declassification.” However, behind the scenes, agencies invoked a complex network of exemptions:

  • Exemption 7(A): Withholding documents tied to “ongoing investigations”
  • Exemption 6: Redacting names to protect personal privacy
  • National Security Exemptions: Invoked on communications with foreign nationals, especially involving Mossad-linked individuals

Multiple lawsuits were filed by transparency advocates and journalists, arguing that the government had overstated exemptions and was shielding politically explosive material. A 2025 ruling by Judge Ellen Newman in D.C. District Court sided with the plaintiffs in part, ordering the unsealing of certain financial records—but most documents remained sealed.

Parallel to FOIA suppression, key Epstein-related legal files from past lawsuits—including Virginia Giuffre’s deposition materials and sealed testimonies—remained locked down. Trump’s DOJ declined to intervene to force release, citing “judicial discretion.”

Maxwell’s 2025 Move: Bargaining for Mercy

In a move that reignited public outrage, Ghislaine Maxwell filed a rare Supreme Court petition in March 2025, seeking to overturn key elements of her 2021 conviction. The appeal did not just argue procedural error; it hinted at state-level complicity and suggested that new evidence—under seal—could implicate government actors in covering up Epstein’s crimes.

  • The Introduction of Sealed Evidence: Legal analysts noted that Maxwell’s team claimed to possess documentation never reviewed in prior trials, raising the possibility that powerful individuals were directly involved in her abuse network.
  • Potential Intelligence Links: Though not stated outright, the language of the petition referred to “cooperative foreign nationals” and “protected diplomatic communications”—phrasing some interpret as a veiled reference to Israeli intelligence or Mossad ties.

Timing and Political Shielding: The petition was filed just days after a closed-door meeting between DOJ officials and Trump's inner circle on "pending federal liabilities."

Babylon Rising: Prophecy, Parallels, and the Woman Who Rides the Beast

In the Book of Revelation, the “Whore of Babylon” is not merely a symbol of sexual immorality—it represents a spiritual system of deception, exploitation, and corruption at a global scale. She rides the Beast (a political power), is adorned with gold and luxury, and is drunk on the blood of the saints and martyrs.

  • A woman (Maxwell) seated in power beside the Beast (political dynasties, including Trump)
  • Luxury, wealth, and connections with “kings of the earth”
  • A secretive system trafficking in flesh, secrets, and spiritual darkness

This is not a claim of prophecy fulfilled—but a mirror of what prophecy warns. Revelation 17 describes Babylon as “the mother of harlots and of the abominations of the earth.” She is eventually destroyed by the very powers that used her—a fate that looms over every enabler of Epstein’s empire.
