Execute, Verify and Document Your Project Launch
Milestone 13 approved the launch. Milestone 14 proves that the real public experience works.
The launch is not complete when you press publish
A creator can schedule every post, upload every file and announce every link—and still have a broken launch. A page may be public but inaccessible. A product may be visible but impossible to buy. A song may be live but connected to the wrong profile. A form may submit without delivering anything. Analytics may be installed but record no meaningful action.
Milestone 14 is the controlled execution point. You carry out the authorized plan from Milestone 13, then verify the project as a real visitor, listener, reader, buyer, learner or supporter would experience it.
What changes at this milestone
Before launch, you are working with plans, approved assets and expected behaviour. After launch, you are working with evidence. URLs exist. Platform records exist. Public timestamps exist. Real devices and accounts can test the experience. Problems can be observed instead of imagined.
This milestone converts the launch from an intention into an operational record.
The six launch duties
- Execute only the approved plan. Use the authorized files, messages, destinations, dates and owners from Milestone 13.
- Confirm every public endpoint. Record the final URL, platform location, listing, profile, page or delivery point.
- Test the complete user path. Enter from the same place your audience will enter and complete the intended action.
- Confirm measurement. Check that the signals you planned to observe—such as visits, sign-ups, plays, purchases or downloads—are actually being recorded.
- Control immediate incidents. Classify problems, apply the approved fix or rollback rule and document what changed.
- Create the launch-complete record. Preserve timestamps, IDs, screenshots, URLs, decisions and unresolved items for the next milestone.
Verify the journey, not only the asset
A file can be correct while the journey around it is broken. Verification should begin at the audience entry point and continue until the promised action is complete.
| Journey stage | What to confirm | Evidence |
|---|---|---|
| Arrival | The link, search result, profile, email or post reaches the intended destination. | Final URL, screenshot, timestamp. |
| Understanding | The title, promise, description and instructions are accurate. | Page capture and copy check. |
| Action | The person can play, read, buy, join, download, register or continue. | Completed test and result. |
| Delivery | The promised file, access, confirmation or next step arrives. | Receipt, email, account view or download test. |
| Return | The person can find the project again and knows where to go next. | Navigation and account-access test. |
Use severity, not panic
Not every launch problem requires the same response. A spelling error is not the same as a failed checkout. A delayed thumbnail is not the same as the wrong copyrighted file being distributed.
- Critical: access, payment, rights, privacy, safety or delivery failure. Pause, remove or roll back as authorized.
- Major: the central user path is impaired but a safe correction is available. Fix quickly and retest.
- Minor: presentation or copy issue that does not block the intended action. Record it and correct without destabilizing the launch.
- Observation: unusual behaviour that needs monitoring before intervention.
Milestone 14 completion standard
This milestone is complete when:
- The approved project version is live in every authorized location.
- Every final URL, platform ID and public endpoint has been recorded.
- The full audience journey has been tested from arrival through delivery or completion.
- The intended analytics or conversion signals have been checked.
- Critical and major incidents are resolved, rolled back or formally escalated.
- A dated launch-complete record exists.
- Remaining observations have an owner and are handed into post-launch review.
