Industry Introduction Readiness Audit
Run this before asking for an introduction to a label, manager, agency, collaborator, school, brand, publisher or other professional partner. It is intentionally not a numerical score.
Entry prerequisite
Before auditing, record:
- Who / what organization: the specific introduction being considered.
- Reason now: the evidence or live opportunity that makes this timely.
- Objective: feedback, management, label services, distribution, publishing, sync, collaboration, education, brand work or another concrete outcome.
- Evidence reference: 90-Day Evidence File, Catalogue Bridge Decision Record, or the documented earlier opportunity.
- Strongest work being presented: what exactly will the recipient hear or review?
If those answers are vague, the introduction itself is not ready to audit.
An avoidable issue could damage trust, misstate rights, waste the introduction or make the creator look unprepared.
Usable with context, but something should be documented, qualified or completed before a high-stakes introduction.
Clear enough for the stated introduction and supported by real evidence.
Audit the introduction
Can the creator explain who they are, what they make and why this project belongs to them without contradictory brands or vague AI-tool language?
Is the track actually one of the strongest current examples, and can the creator explain why it is being presented?
Is it clear whether this is a single, artist project, alter ego, collaboration, campaign or part of a larger catalogue?
Are writers, collaborators, AI-tool inputs, samples, licenses, permissions and ownership claims documented well enough to avoid misrepresentation?
Do the correct master, artwork, metadata, lyrics, links and supporting files exist and agree with one another?
Can the creator explain what is live, scheduled, distributed, claimed and still pending?
Are traction claims specific, dated and sourced—and are weak or zero signals stated honestly?
If other people are involved, are roles, expectations, credits and contribution information clear enough to work professionally?
Does the creator know what they want from this relationship and what they are not asking for?
Why this person/organization, why now, what evidence supports the match, and what would a useful next step actually look like?
Stop conditions
- Do not make a high-stakes introduction while a material rights or identity issue is Red.
- Do not inflate streams, followers, playlist placement or “industry interest.”
- Do not build a pitch deck to compensate for missing core evidence.
- Do not present a catalogue when you cannot identify the strongest work and objective.
- Do not treat “I finished Label-Ready” as the reason someone should take a meeting.
