Halloween Visual Direction Vault

Forty-eight distinct visual frameworks for campaign execution. The goal is not to generate 48 images. Choose one visual lane, one format and one campaign job, then keep the decisions consistent.

Before you generate

Define: project, audience, campaign job, visual lane, palette, focal point, safe text area and required format.

Platform principle: create the image cleanly first. Add accurate typography in your design/editor when possible rather than depending on an image model to typeset critical information.

Cover / square

1. Album/single focal cover

Create a 1:1 Halloween cover for [music/project]. One dominant subject, one supporting motif, strong silhouette at thumbnail size, visual lane [lane], palette [palette], leave 15% clean space for later typography, no text, no franchise imagery.

2. Typography-first square

Create a 1:1 background designed for large title typography. Keep visual activity to the lower and outer thirds, central or upper safe zone, [lane] mood, one recurring Halloween motif, no generated text.

3. Character-led square

Create a 1:1 campaign square with an original character or mascot as focal point. Preserve recognizable brand traits [traits], Halloween adaptation [details], simple background, readable silhouette, no copyrighted character cues.

4. Product-led square

Create a 1:1 promotional image where [product] is the hero. Halloween context should appear through lighting, props and palette, not by covering the product. Leave CTA-safe space.

5. Event identity square

Create a square key art image for [event]. Communicate audience and atmosphere through venue cues, lighting and one seasonal motif. Reserve space for date and location added later.

6. Abstract music square

Create a square abstract visual translating [track mood] into texture, shape, light and motion cues. Avoid literal pumpkins/ghosts unless justified. Build one motif that can recur in vertical assets.

Vertical promo

1. Hook-first 9:16

Create a 9:16 Halloween promo frame for [project]. Put the strongest subject in the lower two-thirds, leave top 25% clean for a 3-6 word hook, high contrast at phone size, [lane] style, no text.

2. Three-beat vertical sequence

Design three connected 9:16 frames: frame 1 curiosity, frame 2 reveal, frame 3 CTA-safe ending. Keep palette, subject and motif consistent while changing camera distance.

3. Music teaser vertical

Create a 9:16 visual for a 5-15 second music teaser. Build a loopable central motion cue [smoke/light/shadow/etc.], leave lower caption-safe area, match [track mood], no generated text.

4. Event vertical

Create a 9:16 event promo composition with visual hierarchy for title, date/time, location and CTA added later. Use one atmospheric subject and avoid clutter behind text zones.

5. Offer vertical

Create a 9:16 Halloween offer visual with [product/service] clearly visible in first glance. Seasonal styling supports the offer; it does not obscure price/value information areas.

6. Livestream vertical

Create a 9:16 livestream announcement visual with presenter/topic focal point, live-energy lighting, safe areas for title and time, and one interactive Halloween motif that can animate.

Event graphic

1. Nightlife event

Create key art for [DJ/club event]: dark venue energy, lighting cues, crowd implied but not dominant, [lane] styling, safe zones for lineup/date/location, no text.

2. Family/community event

Create friendly Halloween event art for [event]. Clear, welcoming visual language, original playful elements, readable space for practical details, avoid frightening imagery.

3. Haunted attraction

Create atmospheric event art emphasizing place and experience: entrance/architecture/landscape, controlled fear level [level], dramatic light, safe area for ticket info.

4. Restaurant/café event

Create hospitality-focused Halloween event art with food/drink/table atmosphere as primary evidence, seasonal details secondary, premium lighting, space for date/offer.

5. School/class event

Create age-appropriate Halloween event graphic for [age group]. Clear shapes, friendly contrast, simple composition, room for schedule/location, no horror gore.

6. Creator meetup

Create Halloween creator-meetup key art suggesting collaboration and making—cameras, music, art or devices—inside a seasonal environment, room for event details.

Thumbnail

1. Face/subject + threat

Create a 16:9 thumbnail with one expressive original subject and one visual tension element. Extreme clarity, minimal background, high contrast, empty side for 2-4 word headline added later.

2. Object mystery

Create a 16:9 thumbnail centered on one mysterious Halloween-relevant object from [project]. Dramatic light, close crop, clean negative space, curiosity without gore.

3. Before/after thumbnail

Create a split 16:9 composition showing [before] vs [after]. Keep split obvious at mobile size, consistent lighting logic, space for short label added later.

4. Music release thumbnail

Create a 16:9 music thumbnail translating [track] into one bold scene. Avoid generic waveform imagery. Use one motif from campaign cover and reserve headline-safe area.

5. Event urgency thumbnail

Create 16:9 event thumbnail with venue/experience focal point and high-contrast date-safe zone. Make atmosphere legible without tiny details.

6. Minimal suspense thumbnail

Create a minimal 16:9 suspense image: one subject, one shadow/light cue, deep negative space, restrained palette, strong small-size readability.

Background plate

1. Dark text plate

Create a 16:9 or 9:16 dark Halloween background plate with subtle texture, edge lighting and low-detail center for readable light text. No focal character.

2. Light text plate

Create a bright/cream seasonal background with restrained orange/black accents and low-detail center for dark typography. Sophisticated, not childish.

3. Product backdrop

Create a clean Halloween environment behind [product], with depth and atmosphere but enough blur/negative space to composite the product cleanly.

4. Portrait backdrop

Create a Halloween portrait background matching [lane], with practical light source, shallow depth, and clean separation behind head/shoulders.

5. Event info plate

Create an atmospheric event background that leaves 50% of the composition low-detail for date/time/location information added later.

6. Animated plate seed

Create a still background designed for subtle loop animation: drifting fog, flickering light, moving shadow or particles, with stable central composition.

Visualizer frame

1. Loopable ambient frame

Create a music visualizer frame for [track], centered composition, subtle repeatable motion cue, no narrative action that would break a loop, [lane] palette.

2. Bass-reactive concept

Create a visualizer concept with one element that could pulse to low-frequency hits: light ring, fog burst, shadow expansion or geometric form. Keep other elements stable.

3. Lyric-safe visualizer

Create a 16:9 visualizer background with lower-third or center-safe text zone for lyrics, one recurring seasonal motif, controlled contrast behind text.

4. Vertical visualizer

Create 9:16 loop-friendly visualizer for [track], central motion element, top/bottom UI-safe spacing, consistent with cover art motif.

5. Performance hybrid

Create a visualizer frame that could hold a cutout performer or avatar in the foreground. Provide depth layers and rim lighting for compositing.

6. Abstract horror rhythm

Translate [tempo/mood] into abstract Halloween motion cues using shape, grain, shadow and light. No literal monsters. Design for seamless 6-10 second loop.

Offer graphic

1. Service offer

Create a Halloween promotional visual for [service]. Show the service outcome or context, not a generic spooky background. Leave clear price/CTA-safe zone.

2. Digital product offer

Create a square and adaptable Halloween product promo for [digital product]. Show 2-3 representative use cases as clean mockup-style elements without overcrowding.

3. Food/drink offer

Create a seasonal food/drink promotion with the item as hero, appetizing lighting, subtle Halloween styling, safe area for offer details.

4. Appointment offer

Create a Halloween appointment/service promo for [salon/tattoo/etc.]. Use environment/tools/results as evidence and reserve schedule/booking area.

5. Merch drop

Create a Halloween merch-drop image emphasizing garment/object design and material. Seasonal scene supports but does not compete with merchandise.

6. Bundle comparison

Create a clean Halloween comparison graphic background with two or three distinct zones for offer tiers/options. Keep decorative detail at edges.

Campaign motif

1. Define the motif

Create a campaign identity based on one repeatable motif: [object/shape/light/texture]. Show how it appears in cover, vertical and event graphic while preserving the same palette.

2. Palette system

Build a 4-color Halloween palette for [brand] from existing brand colors [colors]. Define dominant, support, accent and neutral roles. Avoid replacing the brand with generic orange/black.

3. Lighting system

Define one lighting rule for the campaign—e.g. amber side light + cool shadow—and describe how it should remain consistent across portraits, products and backgrounds.

4. Texture system

Choose one texture language—film grain, screenprint, velvet, paper, fog, chrome, etc.—that fits [project]. Show how to use it lightly across three asset types.

5. Framing system

Define a repeatable framing rule for [campaign]: subject position, camera distance, negative-space side and crop behavior for square/vertical/16:9.

6. Motif variation

Take this existing campaign motif [describe] and generate 5 controlled variations that preserve identity while changing only setting, scale or camera angle.

Visual quality-control

Check Question
Focal point What does the eye see first at phone size?
Campaign job Does the composition help announce, tease, invite, sell or visualize?
Safe area Is there intentional space for real copy, date or CTA?
Consistency Which palette, motif, light and texture must remain unchanged?
Originality Does it avoid protected characters, celebrity likenesses and recognizable franchise identity?
Adaptability Can the design survive square, vertical and 16:9 crops?

Repair prompts

Generic output

Compare this image concept to the actual project brief: [paste both].
List every visual element that comes from generic Halloween convention rather than this project.
Replace only those elements with project-specific evidence.

Campaign drift

Compare these 3-5 campaign images: [describe].
Identify the shared palette, motif, lighting, framing and texture.
Choose one rule in each category and rewrite the next image prompt so those rules remain fixed.

Bad text space

Recompose this concept for [format].
Preserve the focal subject but move visual detail away from [top/left/right/lower third].
Reserve clean low-contrast space for [headline/date/CTA].
Do not generate text.

Weak small-size readability

Assume this image will be seen at 120 pixels wide.
Reduce the composition to one focal subject, one supporting motif and one lighting contrast.
Remove details that disappear at thumbnail size.

Worked example: music release system

Project: dark Halloween single. Lane: neon Halloween night. Motif: one glowing circular light behind the subject. Rules: ultraviolet purple + acid green, fog only at lower third, headline-safe upper left.

Use the cover framework first, then the vertical teaser and visualizer frameworks while preserving those exact rules. That creates a campaign identity instead of three unrelated AI images.
