Find Your Voice FIND Gate 1 | Build Your Voice Foundation
Gary WhittakerFIND Your Voice: turn one human idea into a Voice Foundation you can actually build on.
This is the first paid gate in the deeper Find Your Voice road. It is for creators who have something to say but need a clearer human center before AI helps shape the words.
What this Gate is meant to accomplish
By the end of FIND, you should be able to state the idea, identify the reader or audience situation, define what must remain human, build a first proof draft and carry forward a reusable Voice Foundation instead of starting every AI-assisted writing session from zero.
Clarify the idea
Choose one idea worth developing instead of asking AI to decide what matters.
Clarify the audience situation
Name who needs the message and what they should understand, feel or do.
Protect the human center
Separate your meaning, boundaries and natural language from AI-generated wording.
Build a proof draft
Create and edit one piece of writing that demonstrates the Voice Foundation works in practice.
What you should carry into BUILD
FIND Completion Record v1
Voice Foundation v1
Voice Proof Draft
These records matter because the next gate should not ask you to rediscover the same identity and message decisions from scratch.
FIND is Gate 1, not the entire Voice curriculum.
Each gate should mature the same creator voice rather than launch an unrelated course. FIND establishes the reference records. BUILD turns them into repeatable communication. CONTROL improves consistency and judgment. PACKAGE prepares the work for use. SCALE expands reach and reuse. MONETIZE tests commercial value responsibly.
Free Stage 2 and the paid Voice road do different jobs.
The free Creator Academy gives every creator the Stage 2 foundation through Modules 5–8: identity, audience, point of view, message, writing your world and an EXECUTE capstone.
The paid six-gate Voice road is deeper specialist development. You do not need it to begin the Academy, and it should not be presented as the free Stage 2 itself.
Who should use FIND Voice now?
Use it when AI-assisted writing sounds polished but not like you, your message changes from draft to draft, you have several ideas but no clear communication foundation, or later Voice work keeps breaking because there is no approved reference record underneath it.
If you already have a stable Voice Foundation and proof draft, do not repeat Gate 1 automatically. Move to the gate that owns the current problem.
