I am still researching, testing the methodology, rewriting sections and adding evidence. The articles linked on this page are part of that process. The published first edition of AI Made It Possible is available now through Amazon. It remains the foundation of the project: AI changed who gets to begin, but access does not replace judgment, development, responsibility or ownership.

Why there is already a second edition

The first edition was built around an access shift: tools once gated by money, staff, specialist knowledge or institutional permission were suddenly becoming usable by ordinary people.

That part has only become more important.

But as the technology has advanced, the questions around it have become bigger too.

What exactly do we mean when we say “AI”? How do we know whether a system really figured something out? What would count as superintelligence? Does extraordinary intelligence imply consciousness? Who controls the chips, compute, cloud platforms, models and distribution behind the interface? How much capital is being committed because AI leaders say much more powerful systems are coming? And where does human accountability remain when software can act with increasing autonomy?

The second edition is where those questions are being integrated into the original human-capability argument.

The argument I am still testing

AI is an empowerment story and a power story at the same time.

AI gives ordinary people capabilities that once required teams, budgets, specialists or institutional access.

At the same time, frontier AI depends on highly concentrated infrastructure: advanced chips, data centres, cloud platforms, model companies, financing, regulation and distribution.

The capability can become more democratic while the infrastructure underneath it becomes more concentrated.

How the second edition is being built

The articles are part of the manuscript process.

I am using JackRighteous.com as a public research notebook. Some articles test a definition. Some test an evidence standard. Some follow money, infrastructure or leadership claims. Some challenge assumptions I previously held.

The advance draft will continue changing as that research changes the argument.

That is why the free PDF should be treated as an advance reading copy, not the final second edition. If you read it now, you are reading the progression of the work while it is still being built.

That does not turn fiction into prediction.

Documented fact → reasonable interpretation → forecast → fictional extrapolation. Those categories stay separate even when the fictional world borrows from the real one.
