Creator Story System · Part 2 of 3

Turn One Original Story Into a Complete Multi-Format Campaign

A strong creator story should not disappear after one post. This workflow helps you develop it once, adapt it intentionally and connect every format to a larger reader or viewer journey.

You are not copying one file everywhere. You are preserving the meaning while changing the presentation for each viewing behaviour.

1Start with meaning

Choose a Story Worth Adapting

Do not begin with a platform feature. Begin with a meaningful change that your audience can recognize.

Story selection test

Complete this sentence in plain language:

This began as ________. I changed ________. Now it can ________.

When the sentence is vague, you probably have a topic rather than a developed story.

AI music creator

A generated demo sounded complete but emotionally generic. The creator changed the lyrical perspective, vocal direction and arrangement until the song carried a specific human intention.

Self-publisher

A collection of notes became a readable manuscript after the writer defined the audience, removed repetition and created a clearer chapter journey.

Educator or podcaster

A difficult concept became understandable after the creator replaced abstraction with a concrete example, visual comparison or real conversation.

Brand builder

A broad offer became easier to trust after the creator clarified the problem, process, evidence and next result.

2Build the narrative spine

Plan the Story With WIDE

W — World

Where are we? What should the environment communicate before anyone speaks?

I — Intent

What does the creator, character or customer want to accomplish?

D — Development

What decision, conflict, revision or discovery changes the situation?

E — End Meaningfully

What does the audience understand, feel or know how to do by the end?

Complete these four statements
  • World: “The viewer first sees…”
  • Intent: “The goal is…”
  • Development: “The change becomes visible when…”
  • End: “The final image or line proves…”
Example: AI song-development story

World: A polished demo plays beside an unfinished lyric sheet. Intent: The creator wants the song to feel less generic. Development: The perspective, vocal delivery and arrangement are revised. End: The finished chorus plays while the first draft and documented decisions appear together.

Example: self-publishing story

World: Loose notes and research cover a desk. Intent: The writer wants to create a book for a specific reader. Development: Outline, chapter order, revision and proof appear in sequence. End: The finished book replaces the original disorder.

3Build the full visual world

Design the Horizontal Master

The horizontal version should carry the complete story environment. It is where space, movement, relationships and visual contrast can do more work.

Keep the face, essential action, transformation and critical text in the protected centre. Use the wider areas to reveal environment, supporting people, movement and symbolism.

Build a six-shot sequence

  1. Opening image: Establish the world and create curiosity.
  2. Goal image: Make the desired result visible or understandable.
  3. Problem image: Show what is weak, missing or unfinished.
  4. Decision image: Make the human choice visible.
  5. Transformation image: Show the work changing.
  6. Payoff image: End with evidence, not only a claim.
Production rule

Do not stretch a vertical idea sideways. The wider frame must add meaningful context, movement, relationship or proof.

4Create the discovery entrance

Build the Vertical Cut

The vertical version is not a smaller duplicate of the horizontal master. It is the fastest useful entrance into the same story.

  1. Hook: Identify the tension or transformation.
  2. Proof: Show the strongest visual or audible evidence.
  3. Decision: Explain the human choice that changed the result.
  4. Payoff: Deliver one useful result or insight.
  5. Next step: Send viewers to the complete story or owned resource.

Music hook

“This AI song sounded finished—but none of it sounded like me.”

Publishing hook

“I did not need more pages. I needed a clearer reader journey.”

Brand hook

“My offer was not too small. It was too hard to understand.”

Education hook

“The explanation failed until I showed the decision visually.”

5Make the subject understandable

Write the Discovery Language

Social video SEO begins with topic clarity. The platform and the viewer should understand what the content concerns through spoken language, visible action, on-screen wording and the caption.

Caption formula

Clear topic + meaningful change + practical relevance + owned next step

  • Say the primary topic naturally in the video.
  • Place the main phrase early in the caption.
  • Use readable on-screen wording that confirms the subject.
  • Choose a cover that remains understandable on the profile grid.
  • Avoid vague openings such as “trying something new.”
  • Match the destination to the exact promise of the video.

I used one AI song demo to test a vertical discovery cut and a wider performance story. The biggest difference was not the aspect ratio. It was how much of the creative decision-making became visible.

6Move attention to an owned destination

Build the Website Article

The social asset earns attention. The website should provide the depth, evidence and next step that the platform post cannot hold.

  1. Starting condition: What existed before?
  2. Problem: Why was the first version not enough?
  3. Human decision: What changed and why?
  4. Process: How did the transformation happen?
  5. Result: What improved, and what remains uncertain?
  6. Lesson: What can another creator apply?
  7. Next path: Which guide, training or offer is most relevant?

Search depth

Answer the topic fully enough to stand on its own beyond the social clip.

Internal journey

Link readers to the next concept, action or level of support.

Evidence

Add examples, comparisons, embeds, sources and limitations.

Owned conversion

Offer a next step that directly matches the article’s promise.

For the broader strategy, continue with Milestone 18: Build Your Owned Content, SEO and Discovery System.

7Create a reason to return

Write the Newsletter or Community Follow-Up

The follow-up should not repeat the social caption. It should explain why the lesson matters now.

  1. Observation: What did you notice while creating?
  2. Lesson: What changed your approach?
  3. Evidence: What can the audience see, hear or compare?
  4. Invitation: Where can they read, watch or apply it?
Example opening

Vertical video taught creators how to get attention quickly. Building the wider version forced me to answer a harder question: what is happening around the hook, and why should the audience care after the first few seconds?

Creators building an owned audience should also review Milestone 16: Build Your Owned Audience and Newsletter System.

8Preserve human direction

Create a Practical Creator Record

When AI tools are involved, document the meaningful human decisions behind the final work. This does not guarantee legal protection, but it creates a clearer record of process, judgment and contribution.

Origin

Original idea, intended audience, purpose and source material.

Tool use

Tools used, instructions supplied, outputs retained and outputs rejected.

Creative decisions

Lyrics, script, structure, performance, composition, editing and factual review.

Release record

Final files, dates, URLs, permissions, licences and post-release revisions.

The complete guided Creator Record is included in the gated VIP Plus BUILD workbook.

9Measure the complete journey

Score the Multi-Format Campaign

Do not judge the campaign only by views. Measure whether the right people understood the story and continued.

Swipe the scorecard sideways to view every column.

Measure Vertical Horizontal Website Newsletter
Topic understood quickly Hook retention Early retention Search click-through Open rate
Depth Completion and replay Average watch time Engaged time and scroll Click depth
Value Saves and shares Saves and shares Internal clicks Replies and forwards
Continuation Profile or site visits Website clicks Signup or next-page visit Return visit
Correct understanding Comments, replies and actions that accurately reflect the story’s point
Separate novelty from story value

Questions about dimensions or editing may show format curiosity. Responses about the decision, lesson, result or the viewer’s related problem show stronger story value.

10Improve the weakest link

Choose the Next Revision

Low retention

Strengthen the opening tension, clarity or visible movement.

High views, weak action

Connect the story to a more relevant destination and next step.

Horizontal works, vertical fails

Create a purpose-built opening and ensure the essential action survives the crop.

Social works, website fails

Add depth, evidence, useful links and a stronger reader journey instead of repeating the clip.

11Final production sequence

  2. Complete the WIDE story spine.
  3. Plan a horizontal master with a protected centre.
  4. Create the vertical discovery entrance.
