AI Music Starter Kit V5 Is Now Level Up Season | What Changed

Gary Whittaker

Legacy AI music starter kit · September 2026 update

The AI Music Starter Kit V5 became Level Up Season.

If you found this page through an older link, search result or bookmark, you are in the right place. The old AI Music Starter Kit V4/V5 has been replaced by the broader Level Up Season Creator Starter Kit.

Why did the name change?

The old package solved a real problem: AI music creators were generating too much without enough direction. It pushed people to choose one song idea, document the work and make a better next decision.

But the more projects I worked through, the clearer it became that the “music problem” often was not only music. The same project could need lyrics, artwork, rights, release planning, audience strategy, a website or a product decision.

So the front door had to get broader.

What is Level Up now?

Level Up Season is the free Jack Righteous Creator Starter Kit. It contains six editable PDFs and works across music, writing, visuals, brand, rights, release and creator business.

What survived from V4/V5?

The strongest principle survived:

Do not generate, buy or rebuild simply because you are confused. Name the project, identify the blocker, keep evidence and choose the smallest useful next move.

That remains especially important for AI music creators. A weak result can be a sound problem, but it can also be a lyric, structure, identity, rights, release or audience problem.

What no longer applies?

Older references to Dark/Light starter PDFs, the old trackers, STARTER5 promotion, earlier onboarding forms or V4/V5 package counts are historical. They should not be treated as the current product specification.

The live Level Up product page is the source of truth for the current free package.

If you are here for AI music, where should you start?

New or scattered

Start with Level Up to identify whether the first blocker is actually sound, lyrics, rights, release or something else.

Need better sound direction

Use Find Your Sound when the project is clearly an audio/music problem.

Find Your Sound →

Need genre language

Use the Genre Intelligence hub when you know the song problem is genre, arrangement or musical vocabulary.

Genre Intelligence →

Need prompting structure

Use the Audio Prompt Engineering System when the creative direction is clear but the prompt needs better control.

Why keep this legacy page live?

Because people still search for the old AI Music Starter Kit, and pretending that history never existed creates more confusion. This page now serves as the migration guide.

It preserves the useful idea behind V5 while making the current naming explicit: Level Up is the main free Creator Starter Kit. Focused starter kits elsewhere on the site are specialist tools.

What should you do before releasing an AI song?

Use the Creator Rights Roadmap and the AI Music Release Router before treating a promising generation as a finished commercial release.

Current route

Start broad enough to diagnose the real problem.

Then go narrow. Level Up helps you locate the blocker; the music hubs help you solve the music problem once you know it is actually a music problem.
