Suno Voice Verification Stuck or Timing Out?

If the verification timer reaches zero, nothing happens, or Suno verifies your voice and then throws an error, stop repeating the same recording. These are not all the same failure. This guide separates normal verification rejection from browser/session timeouts and post-verification Voice creation errors—and shows what to test next.

Start here

If You're Stuck Right Now, Do This First

A timer reaching zero with no result is different from Suno explicitly rejecting your voice. If Suno never gives you an acceptance or rejection, repeatedly changing your accent, volume or delivery may be solving the wrong problem.

Check microphone permission

Confirm Suno has microphone access in the browser and that the browser itself has microphone permission in your operating system. Make sure the intended input device is selected.

Try a clean browser test

Use a different mainstream browser or a fresh session. If you use Brave, temporarily disable Shields for Suno during the test. A Suno user who reported repeated Voice timeouts said disabling Brave Shields allowed Voice creation to work.

Run one controlled cross-device test

Use the same Suno account and the same clean vocal source on mobile. Record exactly where web and mobile fail. If mobile passes verification but errors later, stop treating the issue as only a verification-phrase problem.

Diagnose first

Which Suno Voice Problem Do You Actually Have?

A · Verification rejected

Suno tells you verification failed

This is the normal verification troubleshooting path: phrase accuracy, speaker match, microphone capture, room noise and source quality.

B · Timer/no result

The timer reaches zero and nothing useful happens

This behavior has been reported by multiple Suno users. It may involve the browser, microphone permissions, privacy controls, session state or Suno itself. It is not automatically proof that you pronounced the phrase incorrectly.

C · Post-verification error

Verification succeeds, then Create Voice fails

You already passed verification. Repeating the sentence differently is unlikely to address a failure occurring during a later processing or save stage.

D · Different device, different failure

Desktop fails but mobile gets further

This is useful diagnostic evidence. Keep the account and source constant and compare where each environment fails.

Official requirements

First, Rule Out Suno's Normal Voice Requirements

Suno currently says you can create a Voice from a library song containing your voice, a live microphone recording, or an uploaded audio file. Uploaded/recorded source audio can be 15 seconds to four minutes, with up to two minutes selected. A cappella recordings tend to give the cleanest results.

During verification, Suno displays a short phrase. It compares the live spoken recording against the uploaded singing voice and also checks that the displayed words were spoken. Suno says to speak clearly and wait for verification to complete.

The timeout problem

Yes—Other Suno Creators Have Reported This

Current community reports describe Voice verification getting stuck, timing out, displaying “Something went wrong,” or reporting that verification is taking longer than expected. In the same discussions, users described repeated attempts where the verification phrase timer expired without completing successfully.

What this proves: the timeout/stall behavior is not unique to one creator. What it does not prove: that every timeout has one universal cause.

Suno's official FAQ addresses ordinary “Voice verification failed” cases by recommending clear speech in a quiet environment. It does not currently document a specific universal fix for a timer that simply expires or a workflow that stalls.

Best-supported workaround

Using Brave? Test Suno With Shields Disabled

Community-reported successful workaround

Repeated timeouts → Brave Shields off → Voice creation worked

A Suno community user reported repeated Voice timeouts while using Brave. After disabling Brave Shields for Suno, the user reported that the Voice workflow worked and that they were able to create additional Voices.

This is evidence of a successful workaround for that user's timeout—not proof that Brave causes every Suno Voice failure.

Open Suno in Brave

Stay on the official Suno site and open the Voice creation workflow.

Temporarily disable Shields for Suno

Also confirm the site has microphone permission. This is a diagnostic test; you do not need to disable browser protections globally.

Start a fresh Create Voice attempt

Use the same clean source and read the phrase naturally. If it suddenly completes, you have isolated a browser/privacy-layer conflict worth investigating further.

Browser & microphone

One Browser Failing Doesn't Mean Your Voice Is Failing

Keep the same account, same source recording and same verification procedure, and change only the browser. Confirm Suno is allowed to use the microphone and that the browser itself has microphone access in your operating system.

Chrome failing?

Try Edge or another mainstream browser and explicitly allow microphone access.

Brave failing?

Test with Shields disabled for Suno or use another browser.

Safari failing?

Where available, compare against Chrome or Edge before changing the vocal source again.

Change one variable at a time. If you simultaneously change browser, microphone, recording and pronunciation, you won't know what actually changed the result.

Real-world case · August 2026

Desktop Fails, Mobile Gets Further: Why That Matters

A Jack Righteous reader reported a useful two-platform pattern. On desktop, he uploaded his a cappella source, read Suno's English verification phrase, and watched the timer run to the end without successful validation. He had already tried neutral speech, slower delivery, louder speech, normal talking and singing.

On the Suno mobile app, the same user was able to pass the verification stages—but then received an error when attempting to complete the Voice.

This does not tell us exactly what is broken. It does tell us that the account/voice can progress beyond verification in one environment. At that point, endlessly changing desktop pronunciation becomes a lower-value troubleshooting strategy.

Post-verification

Verification Worked—Then Suno Threw an Error

If verification succeeds and the next stage fails, stop troubleshooting the phrase. Capture the exact error wording, screenshot, device, app/browser, approximate time, source format and source duration.

Users have reported processing-style messages including “No processed audio ID in voice-vox-stem response.” That appears tied to an audio-processing step rather than simple phrase pronunciation. Do not assume you have the same problem unless your error matches or Suno confirms it.

Language & accent

What If English Isn't Your First Language?

Suno says it verifies both the displayed words and whether the live speaker matches the uploaded vocal source. I have not found credible evidence establishing that a French accent—or another non-native English accent—causes the timer-expiry behavior described here.

Read naturally and clearly. If Suno explicitly rejects the words, pronunciation may be worth checking. If the timer simply reaches zero without a result, prioritize browser, permission and workflow diagnostics instead of forcing a different accent.

Don't waste attempts

Things We Have Not Proven Fix the Timeout

Not proven

Speaking louder, speaking unusually slowly, singing the phrase, exaggerating an accent, repeatedly changing pronunciation or endlessly re-recording the same sentence.

Diagnostic only

Clearing cache, reinstalling the app, changing audio format, disabling a VPN or waiting and retrying later may be useful in particular cases, but there is not enough evidence to call them universal fixes for this timeout.

Decision tree

Use the Failure Point to Choose the Next Step

What happens? Try next What it tells you
Suno explicitly rejects verification Check phrase accuracy, source quality, room noise and speaker match. You are still in the verification stage.
Timer reaches zero / no result Check permissions → change browser → Brave users test Shields off → fresh attempt. A browser/session/privacy or Suno workflow issue becomes more plausible.
Verification succeeds Stop changing pronunciation. The verification stage has succeeded.
Create Voice errors afterward Capture exact error and compare web/mobile. Troubleshoot processing/save rather than phrase recognition.
Failure persists across controlled environments Escalate with evidence. Random local troubleshooting has diminishing value.

Know when to stop

Don't Spend All Day Repeating the Same Test

If you have confirmed microphone access, tried a clean browser/session, compared another browser, tested another device where practical, and used an appropriate clean vocal source, stop repeatedly changing the recording if the same timeout or processing failure continues.

The evidence you have collected is now more useful to Suno Support than another twenty attempts at the same phrase.

August 2026 status

What We Know—and What We Don't

Supported by current evidence
  • Multiple users have reported Voice verification timeouts/stalls.
  • A Brave user reported repeated timeouts resolving after Shields were disabled for Suno.
  • Users have reported errors during Voice audio processing.
Not established
  • There is no confirmed universal fix.
  • Not every timer failure can be blamed on the browser.
  • There is no solid evidence here that French/non-native accents cause this timeout.
  • Not every post-verification error has the same backend cause.

Is Suno rejecting your voice instead?

Use the Main Voice Verification Guide

If Suno is explicitly rejecting your phrase, your source recording is being rejected, or you are unsure whether you're using the correct Add Voice workflow, use the broader JR guide instead. This page is specifically for stalls, timer expiry, cross-platform failures and errors after verification.

Help keep this current

Are You Seeing This Too?

If you've encountered a Suno Voice timeout or post-verification error, document your device, browser, country, exact failure stage and error wording. If you found a workaround that actually fixed it, share the result so useful reports can be checked and this guide can stay current for other creators.

Final takeaway: a timer reaching zero without a result isn't the same as Suno rejecting your voice. And if Suno verifies you successfully before throwing an error, verification isn't the stage you should keep troubleshooting.
