ChatGPT implementation support · optional briefing technique
RAFT is a simple way to structure a request when you are staring at a blank prompt: define the Role, Action, Format and Tone. It can improve clarity, but it is a support technique—not a curriculum, system or replacement for the Creator Academy.
If you need the larger workflow first, start with ChatGPT for Creators. If you are new to the Jack Righteous training structure, the universal starting point remains the Free Creator Academy.
Define the perspective or expertise needed. Use a functional role such as editor, research assistant, brand reviewer or campaign planner—not a theatrical persona.
State what you need done with an active verb: compare, critique, rewrite, outline, diagnose, summarize or produce.
Specify the deliverable you will actually use: brief, checklist, table, email, article section, decision memo or implementation steps.
Describe the communication style only where it matters: direct, beginner-friendly, technical, conversational, restrained or persuasive without hype.
RAFT helps shape the request, but serious creator work usually needs more. Add the context the answer depends on, source material or evidence, constraints that must not be violated, and a clear acceptance test for the finished output.
ROLE: Act as my editorial reviewer. ACTION: Diagnose and rewrite this landing-page section. FORMAT: Return a short diagnosis, then the revised copy. TONE: Direct, credible and beginner-friendly. CONTEXT: [project, audience, existing positioning] SOURCE MATERIAL: [paste or attach approved material] CONSTRAINTS: [claims, length, language to avoid] ACCEPTANCE TEST: Preserve approved positioning, invent no facts, and give one clear next action.
Use RAFT for editing, point-of-view work, story development and publishing support inside Find Your Voice.
Use it for positioning, site copy, product explanation and brand review inside Find Your Brand.
Use it for campaign briefs, operating reviews and measurement questions inside Operate & Grow.
RAFT tells the model what to do. A voice and context brief tells it what your project should sound like and what it must remember during the task.
Stay here and use RAFT plus context, constraints and an acceptance test.

The principle: a framework is useful when it reduces ambiguity. Once the job is clear, the quality of the source material, constraints, verification and human judgment matter more than the acronym.
