AI Music Rights Guide Updates & Corrections | Change Log

Rights resource companion · change log + corrections

One current rights guide. One place to track what changed.

This page does not contain a second set of AI music rights rules. Its job is to record meaningful revisions, route readers to the current guidance, and provide a clear way to flag a correction, unclear passage, missing scenario or broken source.

For current educational guidance before release or monetization, use the AI Music Rights & Ownership Guide. That is the canonical Jack Righteous rights resource.

Why this page exists

Keep guidance in one place

Rights, platform terms and release requirements can change. Duplicating the same guidance across multiple pages makes contradictions more likely. Current guidance therefore lives in one canonical resource.

Make revisions visible

When a meaningful structural or factual correction is made, this page can explain what changed without forcing an old version of the guidance to remain live beside the new one.

Before you rely on a rights claim

  1. Start with the current Rights & Ownership Guide, not an older screenshot, download or social post.
  2. Check the current terms, policy or help material of the platform involved in your actual project.
  3. Keep records of the plan or account status used, creation dates, source material, collaborators, permissions and exported files that matter to your release.
  4. Keep platform permission separate from copyright protection. Permission to use or monetize an output is not automatically the same question as whether every element qualifies for copyright protection.
  5. For a high-stakes or individualized legal question, use a qualified legal professional rather than treating a general creator guide as legal advice.

Important: Jack Righteous resources are educational and practical creator guidance, not legal advice. Platform terms, policies and applicable law can change, so verify the source that governs your own situation.

Change log

August 2026 · architecture reset

Legacy “Clarity 101” / playbook framing retired

The previous page presented itself as another living rights and monetization system. That duplicated the role of the current Rights & Ownership Guide and increased the risk of stale or contradictory guidance.

Current guidance consolidated

The AI Music Rights & Ownership Guide is now the single current JR guidance page for the core pre-release rights questions. This companion page no longer reproduces platform-specific rules.

Permission and protection separated

The current architecture explicitly treats platform permission, source control, collaborator rights and copyright protection as separate checkpoints instead of compressing them into one vague “commercial rights” answer.

Old download routing removed

Legacy links to older trackers, PDFs and worksheets were removed from this page. Supporting resources should now be reached through the current Academy, stage hubs and implementation libraries rather than an old rights-download bundle.

Report a correction or missing scenario

Useful reports

  • A factual statement appears outdated.
  • A platform source has changed or moved.
  • A sentence could be read more broadly than intended.
  • A common creator scenario is missing.
  • An internal or source link is broken.

What to include

  • The page and section you are referring to.
  • The specific claim or wording that needs review.
  • The source URL or document supporting the correction, when available.
  • The date you accessed that source.
  • A short explanation of what you believe should change.

A personal legal dispute or individualized legal opinion is outside the purpose of this correction channel.
