Human Authorship Workflow
Start with the creator job—not the app. This workflow helps you identify the current human-authorship state, choose the next meaningful human contribution, retain evidence, reassess the project, and then choose the next job that matters.
Apps are optional execution environments. They are not mandatory transition points. The workflow stays primary.
1. Identify the current authorship state
AI produced most of the expressive output. Human direction or selection may exist, but the authorship record is still limited.
Human writing, rewriting, selection, source material, editing, arrangement or other substantive contribution is becoming clearer.
The creator is driving substantive creative decisions and using AI as a supporting tool.
Source files, drafts, performances, edits, versions and decision records preserve what the creator actually contributed.
The documented record supports a stronger fact-based human-authorship claim. This is not legal certification.
Formal registration, professional review or recordkeeping is used when appropriate for the work, jurisdiction and intended use.
2. Identify the blocker—not the platform
The project lacks a clear creative target, references or decision criteria.
The work exists, but the message, point of view, lyrics, story or creator identity is not yet clear.
The material needs human restructuring, repair, performance, recording or production decisions.
The project uses outside inputs, voices, likenesses, samples, collaborators or unclear source material.
The work needs a coherent public identity, visual system, storyline or owned presentation.
The work exists but needs QC, metadata, exports, release preparation, campaign execution or evidence from real use.
3. Choose the human contribution that changes the work
Moving up the ladder is not about using more tools. It is about adding meaningful human contribution that can be shown.
Replace generated language with your own lyrics, script, narration, story, hooks, messaging or structure.
Evidence: drafts, tracked revisions, notes explaining why changes were made.Change sections, pacing, order, timing, instrumentation, transitions or visual/story sequence.
Evidence: project versions, arrangement notes, before/after exports.Add your own vocal, instrument, narration, movement, source recording or authorized performance.
Evidence: raw recordings, takes, session files, dates and performer records.Make direct choices about timing, repair, mix, automation, image continuity, cuts, scene repair or mastering.
Evidence: editable projects, version history, QC notes and decision logs.Selection matters more when it is part of a defined human creative brief rather than endless generation.
Evidence: brief, rejected options, comparison notes and selection reasons.Record source files, platform/model use when material, collaborators, permissions, licenses and identity-bearing material.

No app is the JR workflow. Use the environment that best executes the current job.
Do not shop by feature count. Define the blocker and the human contribution first.
5. Retain evidence as part of the workflow
Briefs, drafts, rewrites, rejected versions, source performances, arrangement notes and approved decisions.
Project files, editable sessions, stems where available, exports, dates, settings, QC notes and backups.
Licenses, permissions, collaborator agreements, source ownership, voice/likeness consent and platform terms relevant to the project.
Published versions, audience tests, campaign results, partner review, repeatability and actual performance where relevant.
6. Reassess the result
After the human-control step, reassess two different things:
Did the project move from AI Generated toward AI Assisted, Human Led + AI, or documented human authorship?
Did Sound, Voice, Brand, Release, Rights, Control, Market or another specific dimension actually improve?
7. Choose the next human-control step
The next step is whichever unresolved blocker matters most to the creator goal. It may be earlier in the 16-module Road, deeper in the same module, another specialist tool, a rights review, release work, or no additional tool at all.
