Sound Decision Card

Turn one thing you can hear into one controlled creative decision. Do not regenerate blindly. Name the variable, change one job, compare the result, and decide what survives.

WHY THIS COMES AFTER THE VOCABULARY

A technical word is useful only when it helps you make a decision.

Use the vocabulary page when you need help naming what you hear. Use this card when you are ready to change something in a real song, generation, edit or arrangement.

Hear It → Name It → Use It → Direct It → Check It

1 · HEAR IT
Describe the problem in normal language before reaching for jargon.
2 · NAME IT
Identify the musical variable or vocabulary term closest to the problem.
3 · USE IT
Decide what job the change should perform in the song.
4 · DIRECT IT
State one change and what must remain unchanged.
5 · CHECK IT
Compare before and after. Keep, revise or revert based on what you actually hear.
EDITABLE WORK AREA

Complete one card for one change

Click or tap inside each light box and replace the bracketed text. Keep the test narrow enough that you can tell what changed.

1. WHAT AM I WORKING ON?
[Song / section / vocal / hook / arrangement / mix]
2. WHAT DO I HEAR NOW?
[Describe the current problem in your own words. Example: the chorus arrives but does not feel meaningfully different from the verse.]
3. WHAT DO I WANT THE LISTENER TO PERCEIVE?
[Describe the intended audible result. Example: the chorus should feel wider and fuller without feeling faster.]
4. WHICH VARIABLE / TERM BEST MATCHES THE JOB?
[Example: density contrast + stereo width]
5. WHAT IS MY DIRECTION?
[Write one controlled instruction. Example: keep the tempo and vocal identity, but make the chorus fuller through added arrangement density and wider stereo space.]
6. WHAT MUST STAY UNCHANGED?
[Tempo / lyric / melody / vocal identity / groove / instrumentation / other]
7. WHAT CHANGED WHEN I TESTED IT?
[Describe the audible difference—not whether the AI followed your wording literally.]
8. DECISION
[KEEP / REVISE / REVERT] — [Why?]

Completion check

You are finished when you can point to one audible difference and say whether it matched the creative decision. A new generation is not automatically progress. A controlled comparison is.
