Choose Signature Elements (3–5): your fingerprints that repeat on purpose (not by accident). Set your Safe Range: boundaries that keep identity stable (tempo range, vocal vibe, rhythmic feel, lyric tone). Write Sound Rules: short “must / avoid / optional” rules that guide creation and editing. Install the Catalog Fit Test: a simple checklist used before you keep developing a track or release it. They’re not poetry. They exist to prevent randomness. Good Rule “Every track must have a chorus lift: either drums open up, bass gets bigger, or vocal stacks increase.” Weak Rule “It should feel powerful and emotional.” (Not measurable. Hard to repeat.)
