Melody Genie Own Voice + Own Beat Workflow: Build a Song From Audio You Control
Your own audio can give the workflow stronger constraints—but only when you control the rights and use the reference for a specific creative job.
Choose which audio is doing the work
Own voice: useful when vocal identity, phrasing or performance character is the constraint you want to preserve.
Own beat: useful when groove, tempo, arrangement foundation or an existing instrumental is the constraint.
Both: useful only after the lyric is stable enough that you are not changing words, voice and production at the same time.
JR workflow
- Document the source. Keep the original voice recording or beat and note who created it and what permissions apply.
- Finish the lyric problem first. If the words are weak, fix them before blaming the voice or beat workflow.
- Define the job of the audio reference. Is the beat controlling groove? Is the voice controlling character? Write that down.
- Generate one controlled version. Avoid changing five settings because the first render surprised you.
- Compare against the source. Listen for preserved pocket, vocal intention, timing and identity—not just polish.
- Revise the smallest failed layer. Fix the lyric, section, music direction or source audio separately where possible.
What success looks like
The generated song should make the creator-controlled material more usable without erasing what made it yours. If the output drifts away from the beat, vocal intent or lyrical meaning, that is information for the next revision—not a reason to keep regenerating blindly.
Keep a clean proof-of-work trail
Save the original recording or beat, lyric versions, generation settings and meaningful edits. This does not guarantee copyright or commercial approval, but it gives you a clearer creative record and makes the workflow repeatable.
