AI Music Training Expanded: 4 FIND Modules in the 16-Module Course

Jack Righteous Updates · October 14, 2026 · AI Music Technology Level 1

The First Four Modules of My AI Music Training Have Been Rebuilt

Make a better decision about your next track—not just another generation. I've expanded the FIND phase of my 16-module Professional AI Music Technology training program into a more substantial, practical foundation for people starting, returning to or developing a real music project.

Today I'm sharing what changed, how the four modules work together, and a free starter worksheet you can use immediately—even if you are not ready to enter the complete course.

The starter kit is public and free. The full professional lessons are in the member training area; sign-in and eligible access may be needed to open them.

Making an AI song is easier than knowing what to do with it

I see creators get stuck at very different moments. Some have an idea but don't know where to start. Others have already generated ten versions of the same song and can't explain which one best serves the original message. Some wrote and recorded music themselves and need help deciding what AI should—or should not—change. And some are working on cues, soundtracks, instrumental beds or other audio that shouldn't be treated like a three-minute vocal single.

Those are not all prompting problems. Often the missing piece is creative direction, workflow, a practical brief, or an evidence-based decision.

That's what TP1 FIND is supposed to teach. Not how to become an expert overnight. Not how to imitate another artist. Not how to buy enough credits to stumble into a successful track. Instead: how to work out what you are making, how the work should move, what must remain yours, and whether the next version actually helps.

What has expanded: The four FIND modules have been strengthened as real training lessons. There are clearer entry points for beginners and returning creators, worked examples, more practical tasks, project records, listening and comparison exercises, and more direct connections to what comes next. Module 4 now includes a substantial Controlled Generation studio workshop rather than simply explaining the idea of comparing versions.

This work is part of a continuing October overhaul of the published 16-module Level 1 curriculum. It builds on the broader program update; it is not a claim that the entire 16-module course has been rewritten this week.

What's inside the expanded FIND phase?

Each lesson develops a different professional habit. Bring one ongoing project through the phase, and keep the decisions you make in your Project Record. These are connected learning steps, not four unrelated blog posts or four demands to start a new song.

01 · Orientation & Creative Intent

Know what you're trying to create—and why

Module 1 helps creators at several stages: a first idea, an existing demo, a change of direction, or a project nearing completion. It goes beyond genre labels and prompts to define audience, emotional purpose, intended use, constraints, human decisions and the role AI should actually play.

Work you keep: a current Creative Intent Brief, evidence about the project and a clear reason to proceed or redirect.

02 · Tools, Workflow & Human Direction

Know the job before choosing the tool

Module 2 separates the work of generating, recording, editing, listening, organizing and making human decisions. Students map what they already use, protect original assets, plan practical handoffs and make a workflow they can return to without losing track of which version did what.

Work you keep: Workflow Map v1 and a version/handoff record that makes the project easier to resume.

03 · Song / Project Brief Development

Turn “I want it better” into a usable direction

Module 3 takes the creative intent and translates it into a project brief with protected strengths, allowed variables, source and reference information, boundaries and acceptance criteria. It makes a specific next production job possible without assuming everyone needs another full-song generation.

Work you keep: Project Direction Brief, Source / Reference Record and Human Contribution Plan.

04 · First Controlled Generation

Compare the music, protect what works, and make a decision

This is where the brief meets audio. The newly expanded Module 4 includes four real-world starting routes, a Controlled Test Card, example comparisons, a four-pass Guided Listening Lab and a repeatable way to choose KEEP, CONDITIONAL KEEP, HOLD / NO WINNER or REVISE. You learn to notice when a tool improves one quality but unexpectedly changes another.

Work you keep: a Controlled Generation Record, a selected or protected version (or a defensible no-winner decision), and Sound Identity v1.

One continuing project, four connected outputs

Intent → Workflow → Brief → Evidence-based decision.

That sequence matters. When you already have a recording worth protecting, Module 4 doesn't require a new song simply to satisfy a worksheet. The goal is to be able to defend the next creative decision using what you can actually hear and document.

What does completing FIND look like in real life?

Imagine you already have an uplifting reggae-influenced song with a strong chorus. You like the overall feeling, but the verse sounds crowded and the words are getting lost.

  1. Module 1: you record that the song needs to encourage someone, and the words must be understood.
  2. Module 2: you identify your source version, working tools, file locations, human inputs and the way you'll preserve A before testing anything else.
  3. Module 3: you write a practical brief: reduce the verse density without losing the groove or emotional message.
  4. Module 4: you compare a bounded alternative to A, listen specifically for word clarity and chorus contrast, and keep whichever version serves the song—or hold both until you can make a better test.

Now you have more than another AI output. You have a purpose, a record of what happened, a starting sound identity, and an honest next step. That is the type of progress this training is designed to develop.

The framework works with original recordings, AI-assisted arrangements, generated songs and short-form audio, provided your inputs and intended uses are legitimate. Rights and voice permissions are documented rather than assumed. The lesson doesn't promise commercial readiness or automatic copyright protection.

Start with something useful

I made a free FIND Starter Kit to go with this expansion

I don't want your first experience with the program to be a long sales pitch or a maze of lessons. So I've put together a public guided worksheet: Your AI Music FIND Starter Kit — Four Decisions Before Your Next Track.

It is an introduction to the actual thinking behind the training, with short exercises, a musical worked example, questions you can apply to your own project, and a project checkpoint you can copy into an editable document. You can also print or save the page as a PDF.

You'll leave with a basic statement of intent, a real workflow, a short brief and one useful next decision. That is not the same as graduating the course, but it can make your first training session far more useful.

Where this sits in the full 16-module curriculum

  • TP1 FIND · Modules 1–4: establish the purpose, workflow, brief and first controlled decision.
  • TP2 BUILD · Modules 5–8: develop repeatable prompt architecture, structure, performance direction and revision strategy.
  • TP3 CONTROL · Modules 9–12: edit, work with source material, refine production and evaluate the keeper.
  • TP4 PACKAGE · Modules 13–16: document human contribution, examine rights and permissions, prepare work for professional contexts and present a next-step plan.

Start with the free public worksheet or explore TP1 FIND. To review the protected training lessons and eligible access options, visit the training access comparison and the 16-module roadmap. Don't purchase anything until you understand which resources you can already use and what further support your project actually needs.

Who this is for: people making their first AI music project, independent musicians, creators with unfinished tracks, songwriters exploring AI assistance, experienced creators returning with a keeper, and people building audio for videos or other projects. You can use different tools; the underlying creative judgment is the skill.

A few questions before you begin

Is this just a Suno prompting course?

No. Specific platforms can be used when appropriate, but the program teaches transferable project direction, tool selection, evidence, listening, contribution documentation and workflow decisions. Tool capabilities and terms can change; your process should not depend on one brand alone.

What if I have already made dozens of songs?

Bring the version you actually care about. You won't be required to erase it or regenerate it for every exercise. The lessons include routes for existing work, source preservation, decisions about what needs repair and ways to document why something is a keeper.

Is the free starter kit the same as the complete course?

No. The starter kit is a public, self-guided exercise. The 16-module professional curriculum is a fuller member training path with deeper lessons and records. Some course resources require sign-in and eligible access. Start at the FIND hub and the access comparison before choosing your next step.

What if I don't have a song, instrument or music production experience?

You can start with an idea and a purpose. Module 1 does not require an existing finished song. Your first task is to decide what you are making and how you will evaluate it; that makes later tool use far easier to understand.

Is this a course completion or certification announcement?

No. This is an expansion of the opening FIND phase of the published 16-module Level 1 training. The later modules continue the student's project through BUILD, CONTROL and PACKAGE. There is no claim here of accreditation, a guarantee of earnings or automatic ownership of AI-generated material.
