Turn Your Best Songs Into Your Sound System
Your own strongest work should eventually teach you more about your direction than an outside reference does.

Fill this from evidence across keeper songs, not from what sounds impressive on paper.
Evidence matrix
Choose three to five keepers when possible. Compare vocal behavior, groove, instrument roles, harmony/mood, hook behavior, section dynamics, production texture and lyrical posture. Look for recurring relationships—not identical melodies or arrangements.
Classify the result into Must Keep, Can Flex and Avoid.

Case Study: Borja / Dante9
Borja · Dante 9th
Borja is the creator behind Dante 9th, a Spanish-language virtual rock project moving through melodic alternative rock, post-grunge and pop-rock, with clean-to-heavy guitar dynamics, vulnerable male vocals and emotionally direct songwriting.
Featured album: Mi Divina Comedia
Borja's internal catalog should now become the main evidence source. If Mírame and later keeper tracks repeatedly support the same relationships, Dante9's v1 system might read:
[MUST-KEEP VOCAL TRAITS] grounded vulnerable male vocal, conversational verses, urgency and controlled grit in hooks
[MUST-KEEP INSTRUMENT RELATIONSHIPS] clean/spacious verse guitars → thicker layered chorus guitars; grounded bass and natural drums
[MUST-KEEP SECTION DYNAMICS] restrained verse → rising transition → broad melodic chorus
[PRODUCTION CHARACTER] modern polished rock, human band feel, controlled width
[LYRICAL POSTURE] emotionally direct Spanish writing around identity, loss, disconnection, rebuilding and meaning
[CAN FLEX] exact tempo, guitar tone, bridge design, acoustic/electric balance
[AVOID] metal screaming, cheerful pop sheen, excessive synth leads, over-busy percussion
[NEXT TEST] new song concept with a different lyric premise while preserving the same sound relationships
The test is not whether every Dante9 song sounds identical. The test is whether the family resemblance survives meaningful variation.
Optional implementation: Custom Models
Suno currently allows Pro and Premier users to create private Custom Models from their own music, starting with as few as six songs, and requires the user to own the rights to uploaded tracks. Use this only after your catalog contains evidence of the identity you want. A custom model is an implementation tool, not the definition of your sound.
Series completion gate
The finish line is not “I found the perfect prompt.” It is “I can recognize, explain, test and deliberately develop my sound.”
