My DistroKid Release Says Delivered but It Isn't Live Yet: What to Check

Direct answer: “Delivered” means DistroKid successfully sent the release to the service. It does not mean Spotify, Apple Music, YouTube Music or another store has finished ingesting and publishing it.
A green status in DistroKid is good news, but it is not the same thing as a live-store confirmation. Each streaming service processes the delivery on its own timeline.
First: check the DistroKid status color
- Green: processed and delivered to services.
- Yellow: still processing or being delivered.
- Red: an error is preventing delivery.

How long can the stores take?
DistroKid currently estimates roughly 2–5 days for Spotify, 1–7 days for Apple Music/iTunes, 1–3 days for YouTube Music, 1–2 weeks for Facebook/Instagram and 1–2 days for TikTok after delivery. Some releases take longer, including manual reviews.

Check these before opening a support ticket
- Confirm the release is green, not yellow or red.
- Confirm the scheduled release date has actually arrived.
- Check the release page for store links.
- Search the exact artist name and title directly in the store.
- Check whether the song landed on another artist page.
- Allow for the store’s normal processing window.
What changes for AI music?
Usually nothing about the delivery clock. The AI-specific issue is documentation. Keep your commercial-use evidence, creation records, credits and final master available in case a distributor or store asks questions about the release.

When to escalate
If DistroKid shows the release as delivered, the store’s normal window has passed, the release date is correct, and you still cannot find the release, contact DistroKid support with the release title, artist name, UPC and affected store.

Does green mean my song is live?
No. Green means DistroKid processed and delivered the release.
Why is Spotify live but Instagram is not?
The services have different ingestion times. DistroKid currently lists Facebook/Instagram as slower than Spotify in many cases.
Should I re-upload immediately?
No. Re-uploading before you understand the delay can create duplicate or metadata problems.
