Buying rule: verify the current model, feature, usage pool, resolution, reference limits, region and billing terms inside the exact product you plan to use. A plan that includes Grok generally may not include every newly released mode immediately.
Capability versus trust

The product expanded. The accountability burden expanded with it.

Canada's Privacy Commissioner found that X and xAI violated federal private-sector privacy law after Grok's image tool launched without adequate safeguards or sufficient consideration of privacy harms. The regulator connected the failure to non-consensual sexualized deepfakes involving women and children.

xAI's acceptable-use rules prohibit real-person nudification and sexualization, child exploitation, impersonation and attempts to bypass safeguards. Written rules matter, but a policy is not proof that safeguards prevent harm consistently.
