Sometimes, your AI-generated song feels incomplete—maybe it's too short, or the ending doesn't quite land. Suno's Extend feature allows you to add new sections, like verses, choruses, or outros, seamlessly integrating them into your existing track.

  • Your song ends abruptly and needs a smoother conclusion.

  • The track feels too short, and you want to add more content.

  • You have new lyrical ideas to incorporate into an existing song.

  • The song lacks a bridge or outro, and you want to add one.

Extend is perfect for building upon what you've already created without starting from scratch.

🧪 How to Extend a Song in Suno

  1. Locate Your Song: In the Create or Library section of Suno, find the song you want to extend.Knowledge Base+1Medium+1

  2. Access the Extend Feature: Click the three-dot menu (⋮) next to the song and select Extend.Medium+1Suno+1

  3. Set Extension Point: Choose the timestamp where you want the new section to begin.Medium

  4. Edit Lyrics (Optional): Enter new lyrics for the section, or leave it blank for instrumental.

  5. Generate Extension: Click Create to generate the new section.Suno

  6. Review and Merge: After generating, click the three-dot menu (⋮) on the new part and select Get Whole Song to merge it with the original.
