Build Your Song-to-Project Plan

You already understand the decision path. BUILD turns that understanding into one usable project map without giving you the full Creator Pro validation lab or Complete Access operating system.

Your BUILD deliverable

Finish this stage with one Song-to-Project Plan. It should tell you what the song is for, which version survives, who should hear it, what you need to learn from feedback, whether it belongs to a larger project and exactly what you will do next.

BUILD is not a final verdict on the song. It is a structured first plan that gives Creator Pro something concrete to test.

Step 1: lock the survivor

Do not build a project plan around “maybe version 7 or 12.” Name the current survivor.

Keep: the version that best fulfills the intended song job, even if it still has one repairable weakness.
Hold: a version with an interesting idea but no clear reason to carry it forward now.
Restart: only when none of the current versions contains a strong enough core to justify repair.

If choosing the survivor is still difficult, use Master the Single with Suno V6 rather than hiding uncertainty inside the BUILD record.

Step 2: define the song job

A song job is more useful than a genre label. Complete this sentence:

“This song is for [listener/context] and should make them [feel/understand/do] through [main musical or lyrical mechanism].”

Example: “This song is for creators who feel scattered and should make them feel capable of choosing one next move through an uplifting, direct chorus and steady build.”

Step 3: build the listener hypothesis

Name the person most likely to care, not the largest possible audience.

Context: Where or when would this person naturally encounter or use the song?
Taste: What musical qualities are they already comfortable with?
Reason to care: What message, emotion or identity makes this relevant to them?

Step 4: write one feedback question

A useful question tests the song’s intended job. Avoid “Thoughts?” and avoid asking listeners to redesign the whole track.

Message test: “What do you think the chorus is saying?”
Emotion test: “Where did the song feel most uplifting—or stop feeling uplifting?”
Structure test: “Was there a point where your attention dropped? If yes, where?”
Identity test: “What three words would you use to describe the sound?”

Use the Real Feedback guide when you are ready to test.

Step 5: make a first project-fit call

Do not force every good song into an Album. Use one of these provisional statuses:

Standalone single
The song makes sense on its own and does not need a larger project yet.
Possible project track
It appears to share identity, purpose or audience with other songs, but the project promise is not yet proven.
Hold
The song is worth keeping but does not currently fit the project being built.
Needs another song-level decision
The version itself is not stable enough to judge project fit.

How to use Jack Righteous with this BUILD record

Complete the record first. Then use Jack Righteous to challenge the assumptions, identify what is missing, and help you choose the smallest useful next action without replacing your creative intent.

“BUILD is complete when the work has a direction—not when every question is answered.”The next tier exists to test your plan, not reward you for filling every box with certainty.

BUILD quality gate

  • One survivor is named.
  • The song job can be explained in one or two sentences.
  • The likely listener is specific enough to guide feedback.
  • The feedback question tests something meaningful.
  • The project-fit status is provisional but reasoned.
  • There is one next action with a deadline.
Do not move to APPLY just because the worksheet is complete. Move when you have a version worth testing and a feedback question that can produce useful evidence.
NEXT STAGE • APPLY • CREATOR PRO

Now pressure-test the plan

Creator Pro APPLY takes this record into real listener feedback, pattern analysis, one bounded revision and a before/after project-fit decision.
